What is the key to a successful YouTube channel and how can I get more subscribers and views?

My first video that I put up gained 500+ views in 2 days! And it's now come to a complete stand still and my videos aren't gaining that many views

What can I do to boost this...can anyone help?

500 views on the first video is amazing !! You are still small so all you need to do is keep to a schedule, interact with your viewers and subscribers and just keep doing what you love.
As long as you love making videos it will show and people will get more interested.

Don't do it for the fame or money because that can take a long time. Do it because you are passionate !!

YouTube videos, in general, have a short lifespan. 500 views in two days is fantastic to start with so just make sure you remain consistent with your videos. Some will gain more, and some will gain less, you just gotta start slowly building. The way I view my videos is that after the first few days I'll leave it and focus on the next so rather than trying to boost the one you've released, I'd suggest working on the next one and making it better than the first and so on!
