Help from those that run kid-friendly channels pls?

Thanks everyone - I did some filming last night on my phone and once they get in front of a camera...needless to say I was exhausted afterwards!

As soon as they stop they say, "can we watch it now?" funny little monkeys :D

Anyway I've gotten some great ideas from you guys, just need to put it into practice!

I have a 2yr old and a 6yr old (both girls) and I think they'd enjoy having their own "channel" that we can work on together.

Could I get some ideas on what we could do from those that have already done it? We don't have a lot of excess money, so buying toys etc for reviews wouldn't work for us. Right now with my mind blank, that's pretty much the only think I could think of that other kids would probably watch :/

Can I please state this again? 13 or older is the minimum requirement in order to have a YouTube channel. I know you said you'd help them with it, but dude, seriously, look this stuff up before you do so.

Are you saying there is no-one on YouTube under 13? That's just ignorant.
glad to hear, will look out for a video upload!
Thanks, I just filmed the older one today singing 'Let It Go' from Frozen, but she sung it in French...apparently one of her friends at school taught her! I have no idea if it was all French, but she fooled me if it wasn't :)

I also worked on the banner art and branding today which I'm pretty happy with.

I don't know if this interests you, but I have a kid friendly channel all about Pokemon. I keep all swear words out of my videos, and make sure there is no suggestive content in it. I do use quite a bit of equipment though. I have a $100 microphone, a $250 3ds capture board, and I spend at least 30 to 40 hours per week either working on videos or managing my channel as a whole.

i know my 2-year-old twins ADORE watching those little candy surprise egg opening videos... what the attraction to those things is beyond me! maybe you could do something along those lines, but with tiny toys and showing them and playing with them. my toddlers would for sure watch! ;) kids are so easy to please.

So this is the banner and icon I came up with - the design is based on the girls favourite colours (one likes pink, one likes purple).

What do you guys think?
