Has YouTube become BORING?

I agree that there

give me some example.... I know of Reddit.... I mean, what else?
For pets and feel good videos I like littlethings.com... Viralnova has a bunch of random stuff. You just need to expand your search methods and find pages that post stuff you are interested in. I even find stuff from yahoo news stories sometimes. A lot of times people post things on Facebook and I can trace back to the original video on YouTube, once you watch those things then your suggested videos will change and your feed will become less repetitive

If you're willing to search around and follow suggested videos after you've searched out something definitely helps. Also, I have found so much documentary content, both professional and amateur, that has kept me fascinated by so many different things and different subjects that I've been able to look up and read about and learn about and...no, it's not boring at all.

If you're going to the YouTube front page and following the Trending videos, then yes, it's boring. Also, I wish that all the creators who are doing all these repetitive challenge and tag and reaction videos would allow themselves to stop chasing after viewers and just allow themselves to be weird and fun and themselves, you know? I guess there's a real rush to having more and more and more viewers, and I get caught up in it too, sometimes, but knowing you can make anything you want for almost nothing and have the chance of anyone in the world seeing it is such a powerful thing, so I wish voices were a little less homogenized on the platform.
documentaries are my jam right now xD

In a recent video from the "I Hate Everything" channel, he stated that he believes Youtube has become Stagnant and Predictable....

I agree with him.... do you? What do you think and why?

I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. When I saw the title, I clicked on it with the thought of referencing IHE. Because he has a point. I get so much b******t in my feed. I really love the idea of a discovery button. I find the majority of interesting content on Reddit anyways. What I also hate about YouTube is their affair with TV shows. I HATE TV. Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon can both lick my balls. I want to see original creators, I want to see cool stuff, I want to enjoy the community. Everything turned corporate. I actually considered starting my own video hosting platform in order to jump-start creative content. The only problem with that is, YouTube has a huge budget and pays people with ads. In order to get creators on a platform, you need to give them something in return. Rule number one would be a permanent ban of TV shows and commercial music videos.

The channels I am subscribed to provide me with plenty of genuine content. Maybe it's because I never ever visit the trending page that I don't find YouTube boring. If you are searching for unique videos then don't follow the herd.

But how do you search for them? I mean, I can type in things, but it is not the same. It would be awesome if there would be an algorithm that also shows smaller channels.
