so some people say it is a good way to jump start your channel and possibly get more subs and views and tbh that is actually how i found out about markiplayer when he had less then 1MIL in subs. but anyway i was wondering from any experienced youtubers out there if this is possibly a good idea? also it doesn't cost a very big some of money, a guy online said 15$ and up. sorta paying for subs but legally and active ones at that. or if i should what till i have a bigger channel to think about doing this.

thanks for the support - Razzo

If you have high quality, and I mean very entertaining high quality stuff, that can grab the attention of someone in 5 seconds or less (remember they can skip ads) then you can try it out.

I personally had a LOT of impressions (views) on my channel trailer (in my sig, well, this is the new version but the old version had more views) with very little clicks that turned to subscriptions. I feel I did a good job engaging immediately, I think my campaign just wasn't targeted enough.

There is a LOT to gain, but a lot to spend for nothing but a 5 second impression too. I'd do HEAVY research and have a LOT of confidence in what you are going to promote before spending cash on it.

I would think carefully before paying for ads and wait a while longer if you've only started out, iv'e had my channel for a while but haven't yet decided to use YouTube ads because i want to wait a while longer

so heavy research and heavy confident in what my channel have to offer at this moment + making a good channel trailer that ca catch someone in 5 seconds or less missing anything?

I'll add a disclaimer: WeiseGamer is not responsible if it doesn't work out =P

Honestly that's it really. I mean, you don't want to spend $100 and find out all you got was a bunch of 5 second views, or 1 subscriber, or even 10. I mean, its up to you, but people HAVE had success, MORE people (most?) have not. Its a gamble IMO.

haha i like the disclaimer. and ya i don't think my channel is ready for that i mean its never to early to get more subs lol. but my channels foundation isn't complete so i don't want ppl of the internet to judge it to harshly this early on so ill wait if i even do decide to do something like that.

I would love to try it out myself, but TBH I think to even get seen by the amounts of people you want, you have to fork over a lot of money.
