Good software for intros

So I feel like my channel is missing an intro, so I would like to make one. I want to make a simple quick non 3D intro and I don't know what software to use. Do you guys have any suggestions? (preferably free software)

Try Hitfilm 3 Express. It is free for basic functionality but has paid add-on packs for more features. Or you could try BlackMagicDesign's Davinci Resolve 12 which has a titling tool. There is a steep learning curve for Resolve and high PC performance requirements. I recommend having at least 16GB RAM available and a mid to high end graphics card.

I use Sony Vegas for all my editing
So I recommend that, since I'm used to it
