Girls and Youtube

Look at this way. All of the popular YouTube males are good looking, trim and generally pleasing to the eye. Taste is subjective, but Tobuscus, MGM, DanIsNotOnFire, VlogBrothers, Markiplier, PewdiePie, AngryJoe, Charlie… they're all attractive men and many comments are 'u r so hawt <3' or some other nonsense by hormonal teenage girls, who likely wouldn't subscribe if those people were fat, cheezit eating mamas boys with acne.

But does anyone EVER blame their good looks and/or nice bodies for their fame? Honestly now, I see endless videos, blog posts and forum threads about women only being successful because of their looks, and never ONCE has anyone ever said the same thing about a man.

Markiplier once took his shirt off and flexed for his fangirls. Pewdiepie has practically gotten naked (wearing his girlfriend's underwear, no less). But does anyone ever say that's the reason they are popular? NO.

Yet I guarantee you if iJustine ever did Harlem Shake in her underwear there'd be an uproar about how the video is crap and only popular because blah blah. After they've watched it for the tenth time, of course. *cough*hypocrites*cough*

Because men never get that crap. Only women. And it's the same thing. Like ChefKendra said earlier, it's about good looking PEOPLE. There are no ugly, successful people on YouTube because that's the vanity of the world for you. It's always men that harp on about this nonsense. It's just another form of jealousy projected out onto someone else.

Now some of those people I've listed are just plain annoying, and not talented at all. But I guess being men it doesn't matter.
Frankie just SHUT IT DOWN

Well and to give an even better example. Would ANYONE watch Onision if he was a big ugly gross guy? Case and point.

But he is ugly and gross. Then again I don't watch him. ERMERGERD. Oh but wait I also think he is a colossal c*nt :giggle: so maybe that's why.
Right, like anyone who starts truly watching him grows to hate him. But he stays popular to whatever extent why? He's pretty. At least, to young and impressionable girlies he is.

calm down i wasnt saying guys dont do it or get it but its a lot more common with females on youtube simply for what foreveraloneprick said females for whatever reason arent really doing anything on youtube. Some of them intentionally use their sexuality for views so you cant blame them for getting heat for that. Not to mention males are typically more of a perve than females so males in general or more likely to subscribe to females because their attractive. Also more males watch youtube than females in general so unless most girls on youtube were actually making creative content it was sort of destined to end up that way considering all the factors I listed.Jealously is the last thing it is there are talented females on yotuube attractive or not but you can tell the talented ones from creators who just bring attractiveness thats bringing in their audience. And its not just males either there are females attracted to other girls as well in vice versa for guys.If anything this should inspire females on youtube to think outside the box more.I have valid reasons for this viewpoint its not like im giving you some bs story these are all based off of observations over time.Whether females want to accept it or not there is a stereotype for them on youtube the typical "makeup/fashion design" is what most of them do.Im not against you I want more successful female youtube creators who arent just praised for their looks but until females on youtube in general get more creative its never going to happen.

Most of his viewers have lost interest in him. An example might be his sub-to-view ratio.
