Girls and Youtube

Are you bloody Joking? Sorry people, but as a woman seeing that rubbish just got my back up...
Do you really think having p**n and hot girls is really going to stop any man from rape? Most men who have rapped woman, started with the hot girl and pron. that did not stop them. A man who rapes a woman is doing it for control while getting his sexual pleasure. No amount of hot girl who pron is going to stop or cut that down...

On topic, yes if a girl put image of herself up she will get more views, but not every girl on that wagon, there a lot's of girls that don't do that because they want their content view for the content and not them. sadly them girls get over looked...

But hey, I've seen many men gamer put images of girls on their videos thumbnails to get views, what shock the men must get when they find out it's a man channel...

So your telling me if you got rid of p**n and left no material for men to get there selves of to that rape and young kids having babys would not go up? Were do you think all the creapers would go when they want to play with new fetishs or what do you think guys would do when they have no p**n to watch. They would make there own and i garentee you rape would go up. But africa's a bad example i mean look at aids out brakes... when they guy doesnt have any luck getting any and he looks for other ways of getting some

As a girl Youtuber I feel annoyed when I see stuff like this as well. In fact, I made a thread similar to this when I first joined YTtalk. While I disagree with you on the note that female Youtubers are more successful, I would have to agree that it is easier for females to get some type of spotlight to their channel. Let's face it. We live in a world where sex sells and femininity is alluring. Girls know that they can get more attention by flauting their femaleness on Youtube and it's been done many times around.
I'm not saying that female Youtubers who use their gender to their advantage are bad but, I think it should be done with finesse, grace, and purpose--that doesn't revolve around a silly reason like getting more male views. (Let's just hope that the content catches up to that, because she can't rely on the female for long)

I, for one, do not want people to sub to me or watch my videos simply because I am a girl. I want them to think that my videos and what I have to say are interesting. I want fans, not creepers, and viewers, not watchers.

(Heck, I purposely used a non-face avatar so it doesn't draw weirdos in.)

If god or science or what ever gave us a talent why not use it! I have nothing against girls on youtube either! If your a guy or a girl you can always do comedy and other things as. If youtube was 80% girls instead of guys and i went on there flashing my abs under a tanish light cracking jokes and poping a few muscles i would get tons of views. Instead girls just use low shirts. Again not a bad thing if i was a chick i would be doing the same thing! Im glad im not because no ammount of moneys worth periods. But the moral of the story find your talent and use it to your advantage

This is a non-offensive, very straight to the point thread.

When I look through some comments on youtube, even if they lack humor, whit, ect... if they are written by a cute/hot girl, it's all thumbs up.

I notice girls getting tons of views from content that is completely sub-par. By no means BAD, but you wouldn't think it would be taking in this much attention. Even if the content is terrible, they just upload videos of themselves dressed in a somewhat.... "open" manner, they still make money off of guys simply clicking it because they find them hot.

A video that infuriated me (Cannot find it now) was a video of this girl going "And why do you like my videos!!!??, is it because I'm funny, or awesome, or, ect, ect". As she is saying this, some dude, out of the frame, is pushing her boobs up and down.

I know people found it funny, but it make me think "Yeah, people are out there busting their asses to make videos, to show off their talent and find followers. Yet just because of this talentless, annoying, obnoxious, and trashy girl's genetics, she takes in millions of views for dressing like a **** and has zero f*****g talent."

Now as I said before, by NO MEANS am I picking on girls.

But really, is it easier for girls to start youtube channels if they're attractive?

Im a new young girl youtuber and I'm more mature than the other girls showing them selves off in front off the camera. I don't think you need to be attractive because loads of girls have taken off in the youtube community.

Actually I deal with that. I have girls subbed to me who added me on FB. Do they think I'm funny? Nope. Do they like my music? Not really. So why do they watch? The hair.

It's definitely the only reason I'm subscribed.

Hmmm.... I grasp what these women are saying, I don't grasp the "annoyedness". Not at the first post anyway, at Rich's p**n comment? Ok I get that, cause p**n is in no way a good thing and that was a cop out excuse for it. But that's just Rich for ya lol, I'm quite used to how his mind works. As far as being annoyed with the first post? That's how it seems to us, cause it's what we're told. It's like the biggest inside joke ever "you want views? Get boobs in the thumbnail!" He's not being a misogynist, he's just expressing how it really seems from his pov. How is he supposed to know what it would look like from a female's perspective? I understand you disagreeing, but try not to be annoyed, he's not doing anything wrong, just honestly saying how the situation appears to him.

I'm not sure if this response was in relation to what I said but, I'd just like to clarify that I was agreeing with what OP Goononfire was saying in his post. My "annoyedness" was directed at seeing other females using their attributes with the single intent of getting views and attention. While I don't feel that it makes a female Youtuber "bad" for using her femininity, I think there is a lot more that should go into getting views and subs--rather than showing a little sexy. I do understand his point of view and I relate to it, very much so.
Now that I re-read my earlier post, I can see where you got your assumption that I was annoyed. For the record though, I was in no manner "annoyed" at his post, haha--just wanted to explain that. Thanks ;)
