Getting subscribers, and earning money.

You need to drop some money on a good PS4 mic. I Bought a turtle beach for around 30. It is not one of their nicer ones but it works. I have moved past that though. Last night I did a live com somewhat drunk and turned on live commentary on my Elgato. Got a blue snowball on the PC and just set that mic in front of me. There are alot of ways to do commentary. Headset that comes in the PS4 box is not one of them :)

Hey everyone!

I finally have my YouTube channel up and running. I have 4 videos and upload twice a week. I currently have 23 subscribers within the past two weeks, and they're pretty much people I know. All of my videos are monetized as well. I was wondering, how can I get more subscribers, and more people to spread the news about my channel? Also, how can I really start earning money with monetization? I know I've just started, but being an ambitious person makes me want to progress faster. Does anyone have any tips?
At our stage word of mouth is the only way you will grow. Make people recognize your existence via. forums, collabs, etc.

Also...Me and you do similar stuff. Do you have Madden? I am considering getting NHL. You get that mic and I think me and you could make a good team. Do some videos together.

I would actually like to promote my channel here, but I don't have enough for VIP yet. :( I actually read somewhere that upcoming YouTubers can grow by contacting their favorite YouTubers and have them check out their channel, and possibly getting them to share their videos. It seems like a good idea, but at the same time I'm not so sure.[DOUBLEPOST=1414098427,1414098334][/DOUBLEPOST]

I wish I had Madden. I actually plan on getting Madden, FIFA, NBA 2K, GTA 5, and LBP3.

You don't need VIP too advertise! I just bought mine legit like 2 minutes ago. And as far as contacting big Youtubers, they won't do it unless you have some sort of connection or value to them.
You need to put effort into everyone as individuals, not just on a basic level of just having a video in your signature. Lol. I had a growth of about 35 subs in a week just by staying connecting to people and showing them that I value their support!

So, I would have to ask people individually to get them to subscribe? o.O And send them my videos individually? lol I think I've done that in some sort of what by messaging/texting people on my personal facebook and then there's this website called gamermingle who's also helping me with sharing my videos. But my facebook friends just aren't that helpful. I was lucky to get a couple of them to subscribe, but most of my subs are my online gaming friends. lol[DOUBLEPOST=1414109002,1414108809][/DOUBLEPOST]

I just now saw this. Lol, but yeah I totally agree about the headset that comes with the PS4. I have my eye on the Turtle Beach Ear Force P12 headset for $59.99, and I also need to get an elgato capture card so I can record ps3 and maybe pc games as well.

It's stupid but the record button does not light up when you press it. It's the little things sometimes. You can still download their old version on their web page. Get Elgato and a good mic ad you are set.

I started with not knowing anybody on PC, nobody who subscribed did I know socially, or at all.. and I gained over 30+ subs in little over a week (i think is good for a gaming channel) What I mean is, put enough effort to get to know people and be active, show support; and it should be returned. I didn't ask a single person to subscribe, but a good amount of the people I stayed interactive with ended up checking out my channel. Just being supportive of others and helping them out and stuff; they will be aware of you and your channel and the kind of person you put on display, and that is probably the most effective way to get somebody to subscribe to you, in my opinion.
Generally if they like your content as well as the kind of individual you've presented yourself to be, that is when they subscribe! You don't even need to ask, and when you ask people to subscribe, people usually do it without really even really knowing your character or much of your content. The ones you don't have to ask tend to be more loyal and active. That's why there are accounts with 100+ subs getting less than 2 likes on a video because they asked for the subs, and a lot of time people on forums like these will sub even if they don't care for your content, just to show support, with the occasional few actually being fully interested in your content.
That might of been confusing, but yeah. I hope I got the point across. I think its better to not ask for subs, but let your content and personality lead people to subbing; it will get rid of the real subs from the unreal subs. Of course you should advertise and stuff, but don't ask people to sub, let your content and personality be the factor that decides that decision.
