I do it to become the next jackie chan, I'd say other asian actors but you guys won't know who I'm talking about.

I've been wondering something for a little while now... do the majority of youtubers make videos for fun or in hopes of becoming rich and famous?

What about you?
Do you do it for the money?
Do you frown on those who do or do not?
I make the videos for fun, I promote them and try to find new ways to get a video tons of views for the money. If I made $0 I'd probably have almost the same videos I do now, but I wouldn't waste time looking at analytics and trying to find ways to get them out there.

I personally do it for fun, it has been a hobby since middle school :P

It's okay if you do it for the money if you're producing great content that maybe takes some money to make. But if you're doing it for the money and making awful videos, you suck.

While I think the idea of making money off of YouTube is cool, it's not something I ever expect to happen for me so I really just make videos as a hobby. If it eventually turned into something more, that would be awesome though.

I do it for fun.
I didn't even know you could earn money from YouTube when I started back in October 2012 :P

Fame would be nice, but I don't want fame unless I feel it's time to be famous.

I do it for fun more than anything. I do keep an eye open for money making opportunities. If I could be a youtube full time I would be happy about it, but I'm not quitting my day job any time soon.
