Final Cut Pro?!

I'm going to be buying a new laptop this weekend. I've decided to spend the money and go for a mac book pro. When buying online it gives you the options of adding extras to your computer. The only one that really appealed to me was final cut pro. Right now on my current computer I use windows movie maker. I don't need anything to advanced since my editing is pretty basic but there are some things that even movie maker doesn't offer that I would like; which is another reason I've been wanting to upgrade my editing software. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on Final cut pro? Is it worth the money? Is it user friendly? Is there a different software you recommend over Final cut pro?

Well for what you need Final Cut Pro will do the job.. Apple in my opinion screwed up with Final Cut and went backwards with Final Cut X... If you can I would try and get Adobe CS... You can pay a year subscription fee and you get Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects as well as a few other cool little bells and whistles. It will definitely have all the things that you need.

Getting a MacBook Pro is a good idea, and Final Cut will definitely be a great upgrade from Windows Movie Maker. You're making the right decision!

Just a question, are you a student at all? Or have a sibling that is? You can get quite a bit of money off Apple computers. Thats what I did!

(I don't really get why a Mac is ever a good idea tbh... My current laptop is cheaper than the top of the line Mac and way more powerful..heh)

Yeah ha some people don't like them, but I love them! They look and feel well nice, and mine seems to run so smoothly. I also much prefer the OS and they way everything looks.

I always find buying a laptop simply because it looks good is a bit silly tbh.
Plus you can Hackintosh laptops these days.
