Ever feel like you're wasting your time?

If you tired for not receive any views, promote the videos everywhere. Facebook, Twitter, here, Reddit and more. Also find more youtube videos forums

Where can you share YouTube on Reddits?
/r/youtubers
/r/newtubers
/r/promote
/r/channelwatch

those are the ones I found, and which are not specialized. Of course you can find more, depending on what you do on your channel.
It is small, but every little bit helps, right?

Much like what everyone else has said, feeling defeated is just a state of mind and shows that you either need to take action or look at things from a new Perspective because just like almost everyone on YouTube, you will never get noticed or have people watch your videos unless you let them know why they should.

I've had that feeling before, too. I completely understand the argument "If you're having fun making it, then it's not wasting time". I can get behind that, but I love making people laugh, making them think, and generally seeing their reactions to things. My friends have pointed out that I always look away from the movie or Youtube video whenever something funny/shocking/insane happens, and that's because I just can't get enough of people's reactions. So, in a way, if I don't get any views, it sucks all of the fun out of it for me. I just want to know people are going to see it, not so much that I have a "huge fanbase".

There should be a support group of some sorts for people in that position.

i can understand how that can be a bummer...but i've personally never felt that i have wasted my time. aslong as i have fun :D and i have always had fun haha

I avoid this because I play around with using programs I'm unfamiliar with. Also I try to learn a new technique or effect with the videos that I make. In the end, even if the video doesn't get a lot of attention, I know that I still got something out of it.
