I gotta admit when I first started my youtube channel I only told my family and once I got some positive feedback from them and from the youtube community i told my friends and they were also super supportive and even offered to appear as a guestSo about 2 and a half weeks ago I started Youtube, I was very shy so I didn't tell anyone because I was "embarrassed", but a couple days ago I told my friends about my Youtube, at first I was "embarrassed," but overcame it and my friends supported me, and now Iv gotten more subs and views ever since.
Moral of the story is have you ever been "embarrassed" when you first uploaded, and what happened how did you overcome it?

Dont think I ever will haha.
People at my school found out about my YouTube. Worst mistake of my life...So about 2 and a half weeks ago I started Youtube, I was very shy so I didn't tell anyone because I was "embarrassed", but a couple days ago I told my friends about my Youtube, at first I was "embarrassed," but overcame it and my friends supported me, and now Iv gotten more subs and views ever since.

I have a similar situation where the people who did find out often were like "oh that's nice" or "that's a cute little hobby" but they mostly thought I had too much free time or didn't get it. Haha which is funny because I kind of live at work. So I'm not embarassed per se but mostly no one at work is really interested or "gets it" so I don't really go out of my way to announce it.I used to work at a large financial corporation and I didn't talk about it at work for years, just a few people who I knew would appreciate it. I wasn't embarrassed so much as I wanted to keep that part of my life separate from my professional life. Some people don't understand and say insensitive stuff like "you must have too much free time" when they hear about the videos. Now that's kind of ironic because now I work on YouTube full time and don't have to go to a job at all!
