Do you think it's hard to start a new YouTube channel now ?

In addition to what the others have said, I will say that collaborations with slightly more popular Youtubers may help your situation.

Other than that, I would pretty much suggest the same as the others. As a starting Youtuber myself, I know what you mean. :)

It's definately a lot harder than it was a few years ago. I uploaded a video a few years ago, it was rubbish with no tags and a very short description and it got 1000 views in a month before I deleted it because it was embarassing. I then started a channel a few months ago and I make (what I think is) fairly good content, put tags, long descriptions and promote on places like here and I struggle to get 50 views a video.

There is just a lot a lot more good content on YouTube now which, although means it's less likely for me to be successful, is definately a good thing. Just be consistantly amazing and you'll get there. Good is just not really good enough any more.

Yes, I know what you mean by that. I have foolish simple videos on my old account from years ago that have thousands of views, haha. Nowadays my videos struggle to get past 20. :p

Well if you work at it hard it should be quite easy. I'm at 90 subscribers and have a partnership (well didnt sign the contract yet) and my channels been open for about a month. So just keep at it man!

I'm not sure - in a way it's harder, because there are more people doing the same thing, but on the other hand, the market for gameplay vids has also grown, with more people in general watching them too.

You will certainly struggle if you're just doing the same as everyone else, as you can be sure that there are other people doing it much better than you are.

Keep at it, but try and think of something that'll make you different - with enough practice, something will spring to mind that grabs you as something that makes you different from everyone else, and then you'll take OFF!

There's still plenty of time, at least until everyone in the world watches YouTube for an hour a day... :)

its depends on alot of things like what type of channel u are doing target audience and a hell of a alot of other things..........

As I can see, you do gaming videos. Maybe try play with some guys (zombies?) and tell them they will be in your video or something, they will most likely subscribe, maybe even tell their friends. I myself record funny (mostly black ops) videos of reactions, ninja defuses etc. I also have my YouTube name/link in my Bio. I sometimes tell people, they will be on a video, and then they go watch it. I already found some cool guys who would go around and tell other people about me, which is quiet cool. With this "tactic" I gained about 160 subs in just about 2 months. (Which is pretty much for a small youtuber)

It is hard sometimes and others it isn't. In this example yes it is hard because you are trying to become big in an already over saturated market.

I agree with the first response( sorry too lazy t scroll up)
But you have to stay positie, reach out to people and have that something about what you do that other channels don't.
I'm in the same situation as you where I am trying to get a 'buzz' or something going on with my YouTube and i'm fining it hard because everyone else is doing the same thing and eeryone wants the same goal etc.
SO, I have been watching other people's videos, seeing what I like about them and what I would want to emulate however make my own.

Also ask people to check you out on YouTube, do video responses etc.
It's hard but you should think positive and be unique no matter what type of YouTube field you're in:)
I'll check you out! And if so, If you could check my channel out aswell would mean a lot !

It is hard if you don't put any faith or effort into it! If you try your hardest at achieving your goal, I'm sure you'll get it in a relatively amount of time. However with YouTube channels being created everyday, you want to be sure to advertise your channel, whether it is by "Sub4Sub" or just posting on websites such as FACEBOOK or YAHOO? If your having fun just stick to YouTubing, and in the future you might become big! :).
I started my channel a week ago, and i already have over 300 subs, just advertise as much as you possibly can!
DON'T QUIT!
