Dispute Rejected!

The GMan

Loving YTtalk
I have a matched third party content on one of my Call of Duty videos from AdRev Publishing. No idea who they were so I disputed it. Today it tell me its been rejected. Why? They claim it against something called "04_You Cant Kill Me_Eqd-Wall of Sound". No idea what it is or why its there. I'm worried if I appeal it they may put a strike against my account. What should I do in this situation and has anyone else had the same problem?

Well, it sounds like something in your video sounded like that song... At least to YouTube's automatic system... What I would do is appeal and tell them that you did not use that song and tell them exactly what music you used, if any ;)

I had my first Third Pary Match earlier today... Didn't have anyting to do with my video either :P

I believe that if you appeal the decision then you have to provide contact information in case they decide to take you to court for copyright infringement. This is always when you can get a copyright strike against your account. I'm in this situation with a couple of my FFVII videos because the music was claimed by Square Enix which really I have no argument against but I just don't want them getting the money for it xD

"04_You Cant Kill Me_Eqd-Wall of Sound" is audio from the game. You don't own the rights to it, so they have every right to claim it.

Ah, yeah, then there's just about nothing to do.

@The GMan For future reference, you could disable all ingame music when recording gameplay ;)

Wow, such a random piece of music to pick up from the whole game. Why bother. AdRev Publishing just sound like an advertising company trying to make money from something that doesn't belong to them. Just my opinion.

Yeah, that's why you should always do a little research before disputing ;) And as I said before, in the future you could turn off ingame music to avoid stuff like this ;)

And you're trying to make money from something that doesn't belong to you...

I was only asking advise. How am I supposed to know that some company as far as I can tell have no input in the game and I didn't see them in the end credits either, have ownership to about 3 seconds of audio. Konami made a claim against my Metal Gear Solid playthrough which is fair enough it their game.

Besides that I'm not doing this to make any money. I'm more concerned about strikes against my account.
