Youtube is privately owned. There's no censorship.
On point right here. I have said a few times I swear in my videos. Not a lot. But sometimes it come out. When I asked myself if I could still produce the same content without profanity it was an easy yes. Incredibly easy....I think it is a good thing. It forces people to clean up their act or become a starving artist. There are plenty of good channels with no swearing / controversial subjects that are waiting to take their place. YouTube has to adapt to keep their money flowing, and that means conforming to advertising guidelines. Without that advertizer money? No YouTube. What would you rather have? Crying DeFranco or your entire channel gone because YouTube ceases to exist?
I actually agree. I already said it previously, but take a look at DeFranco's channel, his latest videos all look to be clickbait instigating in other people's business, and he was making money off that. His video about de-monetization is being monetized lol And he's not the only one, there are channels that do the exact same thing or use perverted fetishes to make money off views, too, the big goal seems to be to get rid of CLICKBAIT.I think it is a good thing.
