I agree with a lot of what you said. They chose to abide by youtube's terms when they signed up for a youtube account. I'm inclined to take anything Philip says with a huge bucket of salt (because I have no respect for him as I think he lacks understanding and good character). So there's that. He's probably not telling the whole story. I can almost guarantee it.
Amen to that!! Some of the bigger youtubers (who are genuinely nice people btw) will get massive knocks to the money they receive (that pays for the food in their fridge and the roof over their heads for most of them). And I don't even wanna think of some of the smaller youtubers...their channel will be destroyed!for those saying "its youtube, its their rules, you have to live by them if you want to upload" easy to say when it does not effect you. someone gets screwed over because they talk about their own mental illness, or someone just reporting the news? thats ridiculous. yeah you can still upload videos about anything but some people survive of the ad revenue. this is peoples jobs, they built something from the ground up, spent thousands of hours building a audience and without ANY warning youtube just decides this? thats fair? i find it bizarre if you think that
its easy to say that until it effects you, hey gamer guys, no more GTA or Call of Duty because its violent. hey @JRTrax no more madden because its violent. what if twitter decided no one is allowed to bad mouth the dallas cowboys, if they do, they get banned because hey, the CEO is a cowboys fan, or better yet. the Instagram CEO has banned all women from instagram because he is a sexist. but hey its okay, its his platform he can do what he wants...................

well just google the videos made by a load of other youtubers saying the same thing if it makes you feel better lol

Well with the new changes stuff like this is already happening which absolutely disgusts me, and other youtubers are already being messed up..this is not a good idea AT ALL. (Also sorry about language in these screenshots)

False. Their was warning. Months ago YouTube updated their terms of service to include these things. This was discussed by many big YouTubers at the time. If YouTube told me I had to change what I do then I would adapt or not exist. Those would be my options. I have a friend that get copyright strikes and claims quite often. Can't for the life of him figure out why he can't use other people content in his videos for profit and feels that YouTube is wrong. Rules are rules and it is highly advised we follow them. Even the ones we don't like.
your all good mate, its just monetization..................for nowSo this only applies to monetization? Like... if I never planned on monetizing then it doesn't matter for me? Just concerned because I'm currently uploading a video with loads of swearing and sexual humor.
