I'm sure this isn't the answer you're looking for: but if you still enjoy making videos try not to overly focus on analytics and counting every view. I'm sure there's someone who knows a lot about the business-y side of YouTube that could give you better advice, but I think you're on the right track.

I feel like your channel has progressively gotten better (in spite of the views) and you can only keep improving. Try not to worry about it too much.

Couldn't agree more. I've recently started vlogging every day of the month. Whilst it can be deflating to see not as many views as you like, I've found I keep going because I like to make content. So as long as...1 person laughs? That's enough drive to keep at it.

I'm sure the quality of your videos isn't the problem, so keep trying to make the best you can

I actually really appreciate this. I guess I really did get carried away with tags and challenges lol. Now that i'm looking at my videos, I do see more happening on my videos that aren't tags/challenges.

Apparently your channel was downgraded (our was downgraded twice - 2012 and 2013). If you want your channel to return to growth you must upload more original and compelling content and avoid any viral videos (they will destroy your channel metrics).

How do you find out this information? I call myself reading every article on YouTube and searching for update info constantly.

Personal experience from our channels and several more I closely monitor. Sorry I can not give you more specific info.
If you want you can try YouTube creators community or some of the official YouTube forums. There are more knowledgeable than me people. Eventually some of them may confirm or deny. Not all updates are officially announced by YouTube.

What are your demographics, Kevin? There could be a slew of reasons you're having problems, some easier to fix than others. If YTTalk has been slower, your views will be lower. If you've got a student-aged base, they might be distracted gearing up for finals. It could be that the warmer weather is stealing views.

Don't just compare this month to the most recent months, but compare it to this time last year as well. Maybe it's a seasonal drop off.

I'm no expert but I'm almost certain that every Youtuber has gone through this at some point. Some more than others. My channel's lowest point was a little over a year ago when I had close to 2,000 views one month, then the next month the views crashed down to 300. I have been on a steady climb ever since. So just stick with it, keep doing what you're doing but always keep on trying to improve. I'm sure this is just a temporary setback.
