Channel on a decline?

I'm starting to get this feeling that my channel is on a slow decline. My videos don't get as many views anymore, and my average watch time is terrible, causing my videos to not be promoted as often.

Around November 2013 to March 2014 my channel was doing great. My videos averaging 250-400+ views each, 30-40 likes, and 20-40 comments. In the past 30 days, my channel overall is down 20-30% from last previous period. My daily subscribers has slowed down almost 45%.

I've asked for reviews, and everyone has responded saying my channel, and video content is great. Nothing really there to improve on.

I still have a lot of fun making my videos, and I generally don't focus on the views. But seeing a decrease is starting to get to me. Ever since YouTube changed the algorithm to focus on watch time, my channel has taken a beating.

I honestly don't know what to do. I feel like if my channel keeps this up, in a couple months it will crash and burn, and my stats would be at it's lowest in almost a year.

Hope it all turns out ok... And I haven't noticed any change in quality so it must be the change in the algorithm :)

You're asking the wrong people. The people that care enough to interact with you are already invested in your channel-they're never going to tell you what's wrong. You need someone who isn't a fan to tell you what's wrong. And you need to pour through your analytics and figure out where there are issues. If you want me to look over your channel, PM me. Just be warned that I don't mess around and I don't sugarcoat anything.

Ya, I gotta to ask of your no BS reviewing talents sometime :p

Could be the decline of yttalk traffic.. I'd say you could have gotten alot of viewers from here and when they stopped here they stopped with YouTube also.

trueeeeee.

I've noticed a lot of my active viewers are from the forums lol. It's nice, but kind of sucky at the same time.

I'm sure this isn't the answer you're looking for: but if you still enjoy making videos try not to overly focus on analytics and counting every view. I'm sure there's someone who knows a lot about the business-y side of YouTube that could give you better advice, but I think you're on the right track.

I feel like your channel has progressively gotten better (in spite of the views) and you can only keep improving. Try not to worry about it too much.

Not to be a hypocrite, because I haven't uploaded in a long time either(mostly because of school and whatnot), but you should still try and make more.
And also, if you enjoy what you're doing, just keep at it.
Try to not let the view counts get to you.
