I can relate, but I get a major (and I mean MAJOR decline) if I take too long to upload a video. I have keep uploading to a weekly basis or I'll suffer.I'm starting to get this feeling that my channel is on a slow decline. My videos don't get as many views anymore, and my average watch time is terrible, causing my videos to not be promoted as often.
Around November 2013 to March 2014 my channel was doing great. My videos averaging 250-400+ views each, 30-40 likes, and 20-40 comments. In the past 30 days, my channel overall is down 20-30% from last previous period. My daily subscribers has slowed down almost 45%.
I've asked for reviews, and everyone has responded saying my channel, and video content is great. Nothing really there to improve on.
I still have a lot of fun making my videos, and I generally don't focus on the views. But seeing a decrease is starting to get to me. Ever since YouTube changed the algorithm to focus on watch time, my channel has taken a beating.
I honestly don't know what to do. I feel like if my channel keeps this up, in a couple months it will crash and burn, and my stats would be at it's lowest in almost a year.
Regardless, I am enjoying the making process and reception that comes with it.
tl;dr I reap what I sow. Sorta.
