Channel on a decline?

I'm starting to get this feeling that my channel is on a slow decline. My videos don't get as many views anymore, and my average watch time is terrible, causing my videos to not be promoted as often.

Around November 2013 to March 2014 my channel was doing great. My videos averaging 250-400+ views each, 30-40 likes, and 20-40 comments. In the past 30 days, my channel overall is down 20-30% from last previous period. My daily subscribers has slowed down almost 45%.

I've asked for reviews, and everyone has responded saying my channel, and video content is great. Nothing really there to improve on.

I still have a lot of fun making my videos, and I generally don't focus on the views. But seeing a decrease is starting to get to me. Ever since YouTube changed the algorithm to focus on watch time, my channel has taken a beating.

I honestly don't know what to do. I feel like if my channel keeps this up, in a couple months it will crash and burn, and my stats would be at it's lowest in almost a year.
I can relate, but I get a major (and I mean MAJOR decline) if I take too long to upload a video. I have keep uploading to a weekly basis or I'll suffer.
Regardless, I am enjoying the making process and reception that comes with it.

tl;dr I reap what I sow. Sorta.

If you want your channel to return to growth you must upload more original and compelling content and avoid any viral videos (they will destroy your channel metrics).
How do you find out this information? I call myself reading every article on YouTube and searching for update info constantly.

I can't confirm chottom's comment nor find any links but there is a growing tone from YouTube to not focus on viral videos. Build an audience. Establish your brand name and identity. Become the channel that people want to search for by name.

My stats have been really up and down over the past 5-6 months. It's frustrating to see a lot of growth to then see low views and low subscribers. I think the worst part though is when I lose subscribers. It's like I'm moving backwards.
