megapixels basically the more their are the bigger you can blow up the image. The bigger the sensor the more light it can suck in and make the image nicer. Of course their is more to it

Hey man I bet you probably found a camera but I found a VIXIA HF R50 on cannon's website that goes for 100 bucks refurbished and it works wonderfully
