Big YouTubers have the power to help us out!

I've Got It
I sort of have a problem with big youtubers not helping smaller youtubers out. I know this seems stubborn but if say someone for example, we will call him "Bob". Ok so Bob works hard on his channel trying to reach out to people and he puts effort into all his videos, they are funny and unique, but his channel is not growing and his view count is low. Bob gets frustrated with the lack of channel growth. But what if Bob tries to reach out to a bigger youtuber. His thoughts where that he could maybe be in one video and everyone will look at his channel and realise that "hey this guy is funny i will subscribe". Now Bob is happy and his channel is growing on its own. So as you see Big youtubers may have power to help other people out. I'm not just saying like anyone can do it, but people who has funny unique content. The bib problem really is contacting them. But would they even help us out is the question?

I know a couple of youtubers who do shoutouts occasionally, swoozie does shoutouts to his fans in every video from tweets and comments. One thing is that if a big youtuber focuses on getting one person big there will be people who will say 'that's not fair what about us' and it would be a bit of a cycle, but even then though they could really do a lot to help create new big youtubers from helping the small ones :)

The thing you have to understand about youtube (especially to these big youtubers) is that youtube is a business. Youtube is how these youtubers make their living, so if they don't have much to gain from collabing with you, they may not consider it. Try and think of a good way to offer something unique along with this collab, who knows, this may help with your efforts.

Alongside with asking these people to collab, don't just send a message to them being like "WOULD YOU LIKZ COLLAB?"
Don't immediately go straight for it, because they will feel like you are just wanting to use them (which is what you are doing, using them to get more subs).
Try doing things a bit differently, maybe just send them a appreciation email, get talking to them and be suave about it. Build relations and then see to it.

Yes they have the power to do so, but they aren't going to just up and help people on the spot. There would be a lot of implications if they did that. And I'm pretty sure if you were in their position, you would do the same thing as they do :)

Just use your own efforts to get big, that's what I done. Not good being lazy and riding off someone else's channel. :\

Also use Adwords, that'll get you out and about to other people, I used it a few times and it's worked great for me, gained more views, subscribers and that. :D

I know Jacksfilms used to do this, but he stopped. It often doesn't have as much of an effect as you may expect. Yes, there is some boost in views and subscribers, but it doesn't help to the extent you'd probably assume.

@DeadlyTeaParty Doesn't Addwords cost?
@ArtificialMeat No not at all i just see a lot of good youtubers who just dosnt get that much subscribers or views
@ProfKranc But another thing is the more youtubers there are who are big the more business there is for youtube then it can expand and grow even bigger

You are speaking from the youtube company (Google) point of view. If we view youtube as a business, each big youtuber is an independent business, they aren't part of youtube, they are just using it as a platform. If anything, they want less competition so they can get all the subs and corner the market.

Think of it like this: You have a chance to get into a University, but there's one guy who with your help could get in too but it lowers your chance of getting in or getting courses, what choice would you make?

I said this before and I will say it again, if big youtubers started giving shout outs to smaller youtubers all the time. The shoutouts wouldn't be effective at all and would drive hardly any traffic to peoples channels.

1 because their audience would get annoyed with it
2 because the shout out would lose all meaning and wouldnt be done because someone has amazing content, just done because they are shouting everyone out
3 because it will be the same as when charities always post adverts on TV, people get used to them and they stop having any effect on people because we are conditioned to just see it as something that is happening.
