Anyone else annoyed with sponsors?

I did this once for Synology - in fact I created a small 30 second trailer for them after they sponsored me for a while and sent me fee stuff (expensive stuff as well!).
Once the 30 second trailer went live, I received a number of complaints from my viewers and subscribers, saying I should stay neutral - stuff like 'Oh No he's on Synology's books now' and so on.

All of my reviews are non-biased. If the item needs improvement, I'll say it in the video - whether the company who sent me the item likes it or not. Most of the time they take it as constructive criticism and implement some changes - for example, recently I said the speech commands in an in-car dash cam were not clear, and within 2 weeks or so they released a firmware update to change it etc.

Because I want my viewers to rest assured I'm completely unbiased, I no longer promote or include sponsor messages most of the time. I never say 'the company sent me this to review' or anything either. I do sometimes state where the item can be purchased, but thats more for the viewers info rather then for company promotion - I like people to know Im creating an honest review, rather then a creating a review because I feel I need to thank the company who sent me the item in the first place.

I understand how the audience of a review channel would be particularly sensitive to it. Though you know you are honest, they don't know that.

There's one particular YouTuber I watch, where he promotes these energy drink-powder type of things. He doesn't usually promote during videos (Overall, I'd say I've only heard him promote it a total of 10 times), but he does have it on his channel banner and all over his Twitter. It doesn't really bother me much, though. As much as it looks out of place, because it's all... Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Mark Henry... Energy drink? Lol.

Basically they sponsor with them by giving a referable link, when people use the link, they get money.

Here's some videos that have it...

This thread was making me think of Joey Graceffa.

Who the heck wants to put a Mark Henry drink in their mouths?

I know right! That just makes me mad, so I don't watch the video.

Well that's when paid subscription will become mandatory, with these mentality about ads... The worst part is that 90% of you monetize yout freaking video....

Complaining for the sake of complaining.... :/

No I think they meant that they were promoting their sponsor inside the video itself after the advertisement.
