You need VIP for that and if you want to post your videos on the Video and Channel forum you need to get either VIP or Full Forum Access on the shop. For more info read this:

You gotta be careful though, a moving image isn't always the best Banner, it will take attention away from your content when they get to your channel!

Any idea why it wont let me, once I've selected the sizes after uploading it says "There was a problem uploading your image. Please try again"?

I'm currently making one now. I made a banner earlier this week with a candle and the word 'Creepy' on it. Now, it's gonna be the exact same thing, but with a moving flame on the candle (UPDATE) My computer can't handle the gif making process. -_- sigh, it's always turning the gifs into a square. Does anyone know why?

Yup they work, here it is on my test channel:



That isn't the best example, I just grabbed a banner from my old channel and had the text move down in rapid movement.

Like @Shane said only if they look professional, the feature itself might lead to flashing banners, I might modify my current one with the text having a shine going across it.

How did you make your gif banner? did you use photoshop?
