Woah man, slow down for a second. "Gaming videos, life stories, tutorials, comedy skits, game reviews, movie reviews, talking about latest topics" and so on and so forth. It's fantastic that you're focusing on many different genres but that could eventually be your downfall. Ever heard of the saying 'jack of all trades'? Well there's another saying that goes along with it - 'jack of all trades, master of none'. What you need to do is focus on one thing that you're absolutely passionate about and do everything in your power to make them the best videos ever. Once you've built your reputation and hopefully your fan base, THEN you can start expanding your range of content.

Let's begin the critique with your channel branding. I love the colours used in your avatar and channel header but the image and the font/typeface used are incredibly cheap. I honestly can't tell if you made a quick Photoshopped image or if you pulled it straight from Google Images/tutorial sites. Furthermore, instead of cropping and resizing the image proportionally you've just squished it to fit within the confines of the avatar dimensions. Using those colours as a base, completely redesign your entire channel brand so that you have a nice, striking logo and a font/typeface that best fits. You can get some logo/branding inspiration from here: https://logopond.com and you can find free fonts/typefaces here: https://dafont.com

While still on the topic of branding, even if you decide to redesign your brand it still will not be consistent with the design you're using in your thumbnails. By themselves they're not too bad but when looking at them from your channel, they're in a completely different style and do not give me the impression that the videos belong to you. The key to good branding is consistency so once you've nailed your new logo/brand, you can then apply those styles, fonts/typefaces and colours into your thumbnails.

Content wise, you need to save up some money and invest in a high quality condenser microphone and pop filter. Right now your audio sounds terribly low quality; I'm hearing a lot of distortion with peaks and pops. Am I correct in assuming that you're recording the audio off your phones' microphone? Considering most of your content (based on what you have so far) is vocal commentary, having good, clean, crisp and clear audio is paramount. I was going to make a comment about your audio mixing but your latest video ("POKEMON GO HACKS NO JAILBREAK") shows that you're aware of your previous issues and are working on it.

My last critique on content comes down to the way you've edited your videos. In both your Pokemon GO videos, you talk at length about the game but show absolutely no footage from it. There's a complete disconnect between what you're saying and what you're showing which is throwing off your potential viewers. For future videos, make sure you edit your videos so that whatever you're talking about shows up on screen. If you're talking about how to manipulate location spoofing in Pokemon GO, show it! When in doubt remember the old movie making saying - 'show, don't tell'.

Redesign your brand so that it's consistent across all your visual assets, invest in a new microphone with a pop filter and nail your editing. Do that and your channel should grow. Best of luck to you!

@squishlord

Content wise it's good to see and hear your improvement in such a short time. What started out as completely overblown, low quality audio (despite the decent microphone) turned into something much more high quality. Nevertheless, you should move the mic further away from your mouth as you're still breathing into it and causing a lot of pops due to the plosive consonants (Ps, Bs etc).

At the moment you're making a lot of cuts with your edit which is distracting. Yes, you're cutting out all dead, non-commentated segments but you're cutting out way too much. You're cutting out the dead space even within the same sentence. This one comes down to practice - the more you practice and the more videos your make, the better you'll become at your commentary so it appears natural for your audience. It'll also help to reduce the amount of cuts you need to make.

My last bit of critique comes down to branding. I can tell you understand the value of consistency which is great! However, the brand you have right now doesn't stand out at all and to be honest, it's quite generic. You only have to look at the thumbnails of @DarkBolt to understand; it's exactly the same background style. What you need is a complete brand overhaul that best represents you - choose your favourite colour to start with, then select a font/typeface you enjoy and work on your brand from there. Like @DarkBolt above, you can find inspiration for branding and logo designs here: https://logopond.com

Not a bad start for a weeks worth of work. You've clearly shown a lot of improvement in such a short time and I have no doubt you'll get better. Work on your brand, move the mic away from your face and stop making choppy edits. You've definitely got potential! Good luck!

@FinnTomlin

Not a bad start. You've got a decent channel brand and your thumbnail design while simple, looks great and still shows potential viewers outside of your channel that your content belongs to you. I also like that you've edited the lyrics of the song into the video and timed them to the track karaoke style.

At this point there's nothing more that I can add. All you need to do is keep making videos. Best of luck to you!

Please feel free to review our channel. We were thinking of adding some new content which included, Music, Reading and some other stuff, but take a look at what we have so far

hey whats up? I just saw this post and was wondering if you can help me with some feedback on my channel? I only have three vids and the first 2 seem to do pretty good but I just uploaded my third and want to know if i have really improved or made my video worse. I also wanted to know if theres anything else to make my content more entertaining for the audicence that will want to make them come back for the next video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@TripleBGTeam

Don't try to over extend yourselves with a large variety of content right off the bat. Find something everyone on your team is good at and stick with it; make it the best content you've ever made. Once you've solidified yourselves and built yourselves an audience, then you can start trying out new things and extending your variery of content.

Branding wise your channel looks cheap; there's nothing unique about it that makes it stand out from the other channels you're competing with. Furthermore, your channel branding doesn't take advantage of the large number of contributors you've got on your channel - Fates, The G.O.C., Dark Angel, Styx, Grizz etc. Going forward you should redesign your logo so it looks more professional. Instead of writing "BBB" with a "T" in the middle of it, you can try making a fancy logo with "3BG" as a base or you could have "BBBG" with each of the "Bs" using the curves of the letters only, each with a different colour. Those different colours could be used to represent each individual member of your team. Using that colour as a base, you can create a unique style and design to make each contributor stand out while still remaining consistent with your overall brand.

Content wise the biggest issue comes down to audio. The microphone quality is all over the place depending on who is playing but overall it's generally quite poor. My suggestion will be expensive - save up as much money as you possibly can and invest in some high quality condenser microphones with pop filters. You should also consider investing in an audio mixer so that in videos where there are multiple people in the room ("Styx: I'm Scared" for example), you can have a microphone available for each person. Some of the commentary is actually pretty good but it's lost as background noise for the most part.

I'm glad to see that everyone hasn't given up after 3 years. Work on your branding, improve your audio quality and you'll certainly gain subscribers and views. You've all got potential and I'd hate to see it wasted. Best of luck to everyone!

@Sir Stellar

Your latest video, while you did edit more images into it, is still very similar to your earlier two videos. It's a slight improvement but nothing drastic.

Building an audience on YouTube is significantly more difficult now then it has ever been before. I'll give you my suggestions on how you can make your channel look more attractive but it's no guarantee that an audience will follow you. That's just how it works nowadays which sucks for anyone just starting out.

Right now your branding looks cheap. The font/typeface you've selected is being used across all your visual assets which is great to see, however everything else looks bland and generic. The stock photos, images, the blue and black gradient background and emojis for your thumbnails only help to solidify that point. What you need right now is a complete brand overhaul. If you like that futuristic/sci-fi font/typeface, you can continue to use it but make sure your logo and overall brand reflects the same theme, without using generic sci-fi images pulled from Google. For inspiration you can check out the logo designs on this site: https://logopond.com

Once you've established your visual brand, you can extend that design to your thumbnails. Have the logo placed within the thumbnails in one of the corners, position the text/heading of the video in the exact same location and use images that reflect the subject of the video. All of that will help to add more consistency than what you've got now and will make it more visually appealing for your potential audience.

Content wise you need to save up some cash and invest in a high quality condenser microphone with pop filter. Right now, the microphone you're using is quite low quality which is causing a lot of background noise to seep into your recordings. A good quality microphone will help to prevent that.

One final note - the gameplay footage you're using for your videos is also quite low quality. Low graphical detail, muddy textures and significantly low frame rate make your videos unappealing to your potential viewers. Generally you would use footage that relates to the subject you're talking about but that's hard to do with your current stories. If you computer doesn't have the specifications necessary to produce the best quality detail in games, try to use games that don't require high specs. Furthermore, make sure you capture software/device is also set to capture the best quality possible. It'll take up more hard drive space and thus will take longer to render your videos but your content will definitely look more attractive.

Overhaul your brand, invest in a microphone and work on capturing higher quality gameplay. Good luck and have fun!

@josephcarson0

Right off the bat, like the previous 2 channels I've looked at in this comment, your branding is completely generic. Your entire brand is built off images that are all promotional assets used to promote games by major publishers. There is absolutely nothing seperating your channel from the rest of your competition which is a death sentence. What you need a complete brand overhaul that best represents you. Choose your favourite colour and use that as a base. Next, choose a font/typeface that is less generic than Agency FB. You can find fonts/typefaces over on https://dafont.com . From there, you can create a simple text logo that you can then use throughout all of your visual assets.

Due to your current lack of a proper brand, your thumbnail design suffers immensely. There is no consistency from a design perspective and nothing there that visually seperates each video into their own respective playlists. Nailing your overall channel brand will help focus and nail down your visual style that you can use for your thumbnails.

Content wise your channel is all over the place. In some videos (like your Resident Evil 5 playthrough) your audio quality is either non-existent (gameplay audio that is) or your microphone quality is significantly poor. In other videos like your "7 Days To Die" one, there's quite literally 8=10 minutes of absolutely nothing; no commentary, no gameplay, nothing. What you need to do is invest in a high quality condenser microphone with pop filter for your vocal recordings that is also compatible with your consoles. The Blue Snowball is a good place to start but look around for other console compatible USB condenser microphones. Next, edit your videos so that all of the completely dead space is removed; concentrate on the gameplay itself.

Overhaul your visual branding, invest in a new microphone and work on editing your videos so that they're much more pleasing to your potential viewers. You've done quite well so far and you've shown great potential. However there's stil more you can do to elevate your channel to greater heights. Best of luck to you!

@Gino Zanella

Right now the dank memes aren't working for you. It doesn't work since all you're doing so far is just taking what already exists ("Wooooooow", Thomas the Tank Engine etc) and then amplifying the audio so that it distorts. That doesn't just include your videos, it also includes your channel branding - Snoop Dogg, Dude Weed LMAO header, breats for thumbnails and clickbait titles.

What you need to do is create the dank memes, not just repurpose what already exists. Doing what you're currently doing now won't result in your channel growing, in fact, it'll have quite the opposite effect. The only way to succeed with your current direction is to create the trends, not follow the tired old ones. Trends come and go so you need to be at the forefront if you ever want to succeed.

For editing it's best to remember that if you're ever doing montages, time your cuts to the music you're using. It'll make your videos far more visually appealing to look at then just having gameplay footage and music that doesn't match.

That's really all the advice I can offer. The only way to get better at editing is to keep practicing. The more you practice the better you'll get. Even if you don't upload the finished results to your channel, just playing around with your editing program of choice is more than enough as you'll start to learn all the ins and outs of the program and what it's able to do. Good luck!

Hi. I dont know if your still doing this, but would you take a look at my channel? I'd love some feedback.

Thanks for your feedback, The issue with the audio was a known problem, and is being fixed during the next month, 300$ budget... so I believe it should be nonextistent soon. The logo is actually my personal fault because since I (Fates) am responsible for the Art/thumbnails. I, believe it or not, has the exact logo design you suggested already made, but didn't put it up yet because I wanted to fix the color scheme. Once again, thanks and hopefully you will hear from us again when we have fixed our current problems.

Yup, I would really like some feedback on just this video since it's a new series that I'll be starting, what do you think of this video?

Thanks a lot :)

@DieuGirl

I'm still doing this although it takes me a while to respond to the requests. Cheers for your patience.

What you need most right now is a complete brand overhaul. All your visual assets on your channel - your avatar, channel header and thumbnails - lack quality and professionalism. I can see that you're changing your fonts/typefaces, colours and styles in your thumbnails which shows me you understand the importance appealing visuals. That's always a great start! However, what you have right now simply lacks cohesiveness and quality. If I were to place your thumbnails side-by-side with thousands of others on YouTube, I honestly would not be able to tell your thumbnails apart from your competition.

To go into more detail, placing unfiltered text on screenshots or simple gradient backgrounds looks incredibly cheap. If you were to look some professionally done thumbnails from your favourite content creators and believe the text they use is completely unfiltered, look closely and you'll notice slight gradients or drop shadows in order to create seperation between the text and background. As an example, your thumbnail for the video "Random adventures are the best - Let's Play Guild Wars 2 part 17", the Guild Wars 2 logo is hard to read as it blends into the image you've selected as your background.

I want you to take a look at some logo/brandings from this site: https://logopond.com . Take your time, study your favourite ones and think about why you like those designs. Is it the font/typeface, the colours, the clever way negative space is used or the overall style? From there, work out how you can incorporate your favourite design elements into a logo and brand that best represents you. As a start, I can tell you're a devout Christian so think about how you can work that into your design. As an example, you can look at the logo for Christ Centered Gamer: https://www.youtube.com/user/ccgr

Once you roughly know what you want, start making a few pencil sketches of your logo design. Don't just stick with one, work out as many different varients as you can possibly think of. Once you've got a selection to choose from, select your favourite one and then start thinking about 1-3 different colours you can use. At this point you can also think about what kind of font/typeface you'd like to use for all your text in all of your visual assets (mostly thumbnails).

With a logo, colours and font/typeface, you've now got the core elements of your brand that you can then use across your entire channel and social media accounts. You can incorporate your logo into your thumbnails into one of the corners, have the title of the video clearly written in the same location for all your videos and treat them with the same colours. It'll give your channel the consistency it's currently sorely lacking.

Content wise I won't comment on your audio as you've made it clear you've recently got a new microphone. If you've been following this thread you'll be aware that I've been making suggestions on how to record high quality audio but failing that, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to show how to do so with your audio editing program of choice.

The other major issue with your content comes with your gameplay capture. The videos are not fullscreen (they do not take up the full frame of the YouTube player) and it appears your computer simply can't handle gameplay and capture at the same time. Unfortunately the only option to improve this to make it visually appealing to your viewers is to save up some money and invest in a faster computer with higher specifications.

I hope this helps and I hope my suggestions aren't overwhelming. It's a lot to take in but what I've suggested is absolutely necessary for your channel to improve. Good luck to you!

@KaziproductionsHD

As requested I'll only provide feedback on this one video.

The entire video is extremely well produced. The frame around the videos is simple yet effective and the motion graphics (lower thirds and countdown numbers) are beautifully crafted. If you made the motions graphics yourself then congratulations, they're top notch! If you've used template files (from Videohive.net for example) then at least you've done a good enough job of making them your own.

My only criticism comes down to the transitions between the countdown number and video clip shown. Right now you have a beautifully rendered motion graphic showing the number of the segment which then immediately cuts to black, followed by a "fade-from-black" transition into the clip with the frame. The way the audio fades in and out is also poorly done. Try to create (or find) a transition that mimics pages of a comic book turning/flipping and use that to transition between the number and clip, as it'll match the frame you've got. You can also use that time to blend the audio rather than fade it out and then in again. Basically you should try to avoid fades as much as possible and stick to hard cuts and transitions.

Apart from that, fantastic work with the video! I definitely would like to see more videos of that quality going forward. Best of luck to you!
