Addicted to Youtube?

Calling anything that doesnt have actual addiction side effects isnt an addiction.
Its just an excuse people use so they can get away from whatever their actual problem is.

So until you see someone who becomes super moody, fidgety and easily irritable because they havent gotten their YT fix... let me know ;)

I definitely do not think it is a bad addiction but I can see why some people may want to step away, for example if you're about to do some exams you wouldn't want to be addicted to YouTube as it could get in the way of revising.

I'm not addicted to YouTube at all. I am absolutely committed to having a quality and informative channel, but believe I know when to step away from it and do other things. On of my favorite bigger YouTubers takes 8 weeks off every summer and although I miss her shows she comes back refreshed. I think it's a smart play. lol However, I think it's more about burnout than addiction.

That sounds like a good way to run a channel. What's burnout, may I ask?[DOUBLEPOST=1366475712][/DOUBLEPOST]

*cough cough* nope!...that would be bad....oh dear...haha

youtube is addictive indeed, it's more addictive when you have many videos and many subscriber that needed your reply on every comment and and inbox, this just time consuming and really addictive, thats the goal for everyone join here.

I'm definitely addicted to it, I think its good as long as you're doing something productive from it, like working on videos, and trying to improve your channel, but I think if you're spending countless hours watching videos when you should be doing other things that could possibly be a bad thing. (even though I totally do that :p)

You're addicted when people ask you to go do something fun and you reply with I have to do YouTube.

:roflmao2: Don't know why, but that cracked me up!

I enjoy youtube mainly for the daily news/political channels I'm subbed to. My own channel is for anything that tickles my fancy--from serious commentary to fluff. So for me, it's a past-time. But for some, like The Amazing Atheist, it's probably a livelyhood. Those are the ones that, you could say, have a "dependence" on it.
