I think people cared more about theire channels back when they could be custumized. Now they are so dull people don't bother which is Google's fault.

I don't know anything about Dark Souls but i'll give a general example.
Describe what's happening in the video.
What exactly are you helping people with?
What level are you playing?
What characters are you using/playing as (If you can play with other characters)
What kind of enemies do you come across?
I read the description of your latest video that said "Helping People in Dark Souls 2.....cuz well....I can". That doesn't help your video in any way. Basically just describe the video. When people go to search things, keywords in your description will help in the searches. So if you include a keyword heavy description, people searching for different things about Dark Souls will have a higher chance of seeing your video. (Though do not make a wall of random keywords in the description. This is against ToS)[DOUBLEPOST=1397362917,1397362772][/DOUBLEPOST]
I completely disagree. You can't just blame Google for lack of effort. If it's anyones "fault", it's the channel owner themselves.

I don't see how it is not Google's fault for taking color and most of the customizing from the site away. Granted most sites are/have been doing it and ******* people off. Myspace pretty much killed itself by doing it.

No I'm saying the fun of doing it is gone. (Granted I'm talking about users as a whole not content creators only) Like I remember people who used to do RP channels but now they can't. But yeah you can still do a good channel if you are making content and if you are one of them that is a good idea to do since it is like a big part and is like the personality of the youtuber and gives people a good idea of what you are since the first think I check is a person's bio on the channel.

Having fun with making videos doesn't matter if backgrounds or customization is there or not. I had my channel when there was backgrounds, and I didn't loose any motivation, or fun, or anything when they got rid of it. If you want your channel to be successful, you got to put effort into it. Just because some customization features aren't there anymore doesn't change that fact.

Yes, that's a huge difference and could really help improve the videos! When people search for things, like "Dark Souls 2 (Name of some place)", your video could show up in the search more often.
