No matter what kind of channel you are, you need to take your channel seriously. If you don't, no one will see it in a serious manner.

Look at your channel, your titles, videos, thumbnails, banner, descriptions, tags, EVERYTHING. Are they the best you can make them? If you were a random viewer who randomly stumbled across your channel, what are your thoughts? Would you think the channel is professional, or does it look like they don't care?

I've seen so many channels that honestly put no effort into their channel, and wonder why they aren't getting views. Titles that look so unprofessional, thumbnails that you can't even read, little to no descriptions, videos that absolutely no one is going to search for because they serve no purpose at all... I can go all day.

Seriously, just take a few minutes to really look over your channel in the viewers perspective. Make changes where you see fit. Trust me, it can change so much.

Good tip, I do try to do this but I do feel that I do sometimes fall short in my descriptions, pretty happy with everything else though :).
