A YouTube Tip for your channel.

No matter what kind of channel you are, you need to take your channel seriously. If you don't, no one will see it in a serious manner.

Look at your channel, your titles, videos, thumbnails, banner, descriptions, tags, EVERYTHING. Are they the best you can make them? If you were a random viewer who randomly stumbled across your channel, what are your thoughts? Would you think the channel is professional, or does it look like they don't care?

I've seen so many channels that honestly put no effort into their channel, and wonder why they aren't getting views. Titles that look so unprofessional, thumbnails that you can't even read, little to no descriptions, videos that absolutely no one is going to search for because they serve no purpose at all... I can go all day.

Seriously, just take a few minutes to really look over your channel in the viewers perspective. Make changes where you see fit. Trust me, it can change so much.

Solid tip. I think it's totally worth it to think about what the viewers see. I hate it when I see people's descriptions totally trashing their video, like: 'this video totally turned into me rambling, who would even watch this' etc. So... are you trying to get me to watch it out of pity?

Definitely agree. One should always look at everything on their channel, from the viewers perspective.

If you enjoy your content yourself, odds are others will too.

Damn it, I've just convinced myself to start taking things less seriously and then this topic comes up. I seriously just started thinking that not everything has to be perfect, so I can just edit my stuff myself. Before when I was trying to edit a picture I kept thinking things like: "Well if I tilt the screen at this angle, and zoom in on this pixel, you can tell this shade of white is slightly different, so I need to fix that."

Now I basically just started thinking: "Who is going to come around and stare at my banner and examine the details that closely? Wouldn't they just take a glance at it and move on?"

Er, a description if the video? Lio

Ok, lets say you make a video of where you help people in Dark Souls ( could not think of anything better ) could you give me an example of what you could write please....maybe I can learn from a pro

I completely agree. Descriptions can be a representation of you and your channel. Even if you think you rambled too much or maybe you're nervous about the video, don't trash anything you do. Not everything will be great but you can put your best foot forward.
