A necessity for gaming channels!

I think you would be a drop in the ocean in the way of unboxing videos since the likes of machinima and ign will be doing those.
That and on PC you can make videos about niche games that aren't on consoles so that you can be the only person making videos about a game and pick off traffic from it.

I don't think that the forum can put away their bias from PC to look at this objectively. It's an easy opportunity to get seen by people who normally wouldn't get to see you. It's also a smaller market because not many people will have the nex-gen consoles so that further increases your chance of being seen. If you put Xbox One Gameplay into one of your titles, you'll get hundreds more views than if you played that same game on PC.

Look, people won't look up "COD ghosts Xbox one gameplay" they will look up "COD ghosts gameplay"
PC looks better meaning they would prefer to watch that.

this isn't PC bias , this is common sense. Xbox will not be a miracle for your channel that will make you famous so don't get your hopes up.

I'm definitely counting on Xbox boosting my channel a ton. I'm going to be home for winter break also. So that means more time to cash in on the xbox one.

I'm not looking for a miracle because I don't need one. I am looking to receive thousands of views from the xbox one though. The game that i'm covering doesn't even release for PC, so I'm not worried about the PC at all. It's exclusive to consoles and that will bring in even more views.
 
Sure, people will be searching for it when it comes out, but you also got to remember that thousands of other gaming channels are going to be posting the exact same content.

So no, I don't think it's a "necessity" at all.
 
I hate the new consoles and it's to expensive as a gamer. Like seriously i have to pay for internet D: I think pc all the way is to go.

I just feel like if you and a competitor are covering the same game and you have the game on 360 or PS3 and they have it on Xbox One/PS4, they are going to watch your competitor because they want to see how the game looks on nex gen. You can be a better commentator than your competitor but you're just putting yourself at a disadvantage by not upgrading.

Yes, I understand that, but there will be thousands upon thousands of content exactly the same, and it still will be hard to find your content. Not to mention that almost every large gaming channel will be doing the same.

It's like when a new hyped up game comes out. Almost every gaming channel is making content of it. Just because you make a video on it, doesn't mean you will benefit from it. It will end up in the endless abyss of content that's the same.
 
I guess your write in a way, but like people above me said there's MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of people getting it and you mihg tnot get the views you want. I don't think it's a must have, just get a pc.
