3 Toxic YouTube Communities

Has he botted his subs at some stage in the past? He's losing them quickly now and I was wondering if that's YT clearing out all the botted ones or if it's actually people unsubbing.
I have a slight inkling that Bashur is one of those guys who has participated in botting (in his early years) due to the fact he's confessed on twitter to only doing certain types of Minecraft videos because it will garner him more views/money, that and the fact he uses his GF as a sexual object in his thumbnails to attract viewers. His most viewed videos all use sexually suggestive thumbnails which all utilize his gf which is where I think a lot of his subscribers come from who don't become active viewers which leads to a disproportionate amount of views video to video.

It's his views and the fact that he still gets harassment for his past arrest that he's been complaining about lately. He is partially to blame for his whole mess but the people he surrounds himself with (other Miencraft YouTubers) are just as unsavory as he is. Again, I have to stress how badly some of these YouTuber's treat each other. People/Friends of Bashurverse were pretty much threatening and blackmailing him about letting out the story of his arrest for different reasons and it's just scummy how petty these people can be.

As for losing views and subscribers I think the main contributing factor is due to his misery making over twitter, the backlash from the couple of weeks where his past arrest was revealed and the fact that his channel isn't reliable for typical minecraft content and what the minecraft audience value except those videos of his GF that gain him the most viewership.
For the prank community, I refuse to watch any prank video now. It's simpler for them to use actors than to run around trying to get "victims" to sign release forms. They're just fictional short films with actors and once you realise that, there's very little reason to watch them IMHO.

If I'm going to watch short films, there are much better ones out there than prank vids.
I'm with you there. I used to watch a lot of Tom Mabe who was a comedian and prankster before YouTube was ever a thing and he was a close associate of Jack Vale's. Now I don't watch any pranks. I used to watch a lot of Roman Atwood and Ed Bassmaster as well but now I don't even care about pranks for the same reasons.

Earlier you called them relevant AND popular, now they aren't? Earlier you listed Onision as part of the community, now he isn't? Make up your mind.
And yes, they are as big as they've ever been. Not having a million subs doesn't somehow nullify that. If Repzion and TAA used to have 2 mil and now they have under 1 mil with barely any views on new vids, then I'd see your point. But they've always had under a million subs and they still get the same amount of views that they got 2, 3, 4, 5 years ago. Their popularity hasn't changed much, so what are you talking about they're "not really relevant anymore"?
I didn't list Onision as part of the community I listed him as a ranter. I don't want to keep coming back to argue on the thread so I'll let you be.

Yeah, there's something not quite right with his stats. Likewise for his gf's stats who has 150k subs but only gets about 6k daily views.

Another channel that springs to mind when we talk about "toxic" has to be "Sam and Nia". I actually made a thread about them in August ( http://yttalk.com/threads/recent-controversy-about-vlog-couple.181890/ )

TL : DR version:

They market themselves as "Christian Vloggers".

They hit the big time a few months ago with a viral video (14 million views)

The video is the husband (Sam) going into the bathroom and notices that his wife (Nia) hadn't flushed and so he does a pregancy test on the pee still in the toilet and lo and behold, he discovers she's pregnant. The video looked very fake indeed and they got called out on it

A few months later and there was the hacking of the Ashley Madison site (website where married people can find affairs with other married people) and guess who was revealed as a paying member of the site ?! Sam ! Here's the news story in the press http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...d-miscarriage-paying-user-Ashley-Madison.html

He has since admitted it on his channel. He says that his wife and God have forgiven him.....

After that scandal, they went to a YouTube event called VLOGGER FAIR where they were doing a panel. Backstage, there were a load of other VLOGGERs who called Sam out on his BS and they all got into a big argument about it. In the end, the organisers decided to kick Sam and Nia out of the event and they decided to take a break from YouTube......

They have just recently come back from that hiatus and started making videos and let's just say Sam has been acting very erratically. Many think he either has some serious mental issues and / or he's on something. I personally think it's a bit of both.

Example, he recently made this video (
) in which he looks like he's either drunk or high as a kite and is clearly scaring his poor daughter.

Thoughts?

That came from a gaming youtuber called LeafyIsHere. Some of his content is actually pretty funny but his fanbase is 600% cancer. Their spam worked, though, because he went from under 100k to 400k in the last couple of months.

So are you saying his fans are bad because they promote for him? I think this is a pretty critical thread, not that I'm one to judge those judging others just saying.

Promotion is fine, but spamming HISSSSS and REPTILIAN on literally every other gaming channel is f*****g toxic and terrible, yea.
