3 Toxic YouTube Communities

The Gaming Community is pretty bad. Whether it's the COD, Minecraft or GTA Communities they all have major dirt on them. The COD YouTuber's of Old loved to embroil in petty drama BS which has really influenced how a lot of the newer COD YouTuber's behave towards each other these days. The one major reoccurring subject that keeps popping up about the COD Community is that it's dead/inactive because of Call of Duty isn't what it was. That isn't true. The COD community is dead/inactive because channels refuse to see each other as a community and rather as competition. A lot of channels know each other in Skype and in their personal lives but how often do you see COD YouTubers collaborate? People would rather try to join a big group like Thrust to grow to give them exposure instead of reaching out to other channels to make videos.

The Minecraft community is probably the most emotionally immature group of YouTuber's I've ever seen communicate with each other. When I used to be apart of some of their Skype groups a few years ago I could of sworn I was back in Middle School. These guys love to screw with each other mentally and emotionally about views, girls and money. When you see a guy like Bashurverse who is a self professed liar confess to doing videos just for views while using his GF in suggestive thumbnails and calling out his own community, you get a real good idea of how that particular community is. It's pretty sick to see how easily Minecraft YouTubers turn on each other as well,

The GTA community is easily the most view hoarding of the entire gaming community as they've learned to just cross the YouTube community guidelines without getting their channels terminated. It's pathetic that a lot of these guys were reporting each others channels for YouTube violations when they were all participating in meta-tagging, Fake giveaways, mis-catergorizing, spamming, misleading titles/tags and plagiarizing for views. A lot of these GTA guys are just like the COD guys since they don't like to collaborate but love to threaten and harass each other over Skype.

I have things I want to say about the FIFA gaming community but it's kind of like the previous three communities I've already mentioned. I'll get back to this thread later perhaps, I'm still watching the Seahawks-Cardinals game.

I make beauty videos, I have seen many a rant about the beauty community. What I've seen the rants tend to be form those that have ostracized themselves and view themselves as above everyone else.

The girls that complain the loudest seem to be the girls that want YouTube fame but aren't hitting those heights. I understand some beauty channels do nothing but sponsored vids, if you don't like it move on from watching.

There are some beauty channels I don't like so I don't watch. At the moment there is a huge war between 4 beauty community members.

I think beauty is seen as bitchy because its predominately female, the boys in the male based communities seem just as bad.

Onision, Repzion, and TJ are far from dead so I don't know what the hell you're talking about, and I wouldn't say they're a "ranting" community. (When do they complain about PewDiePie, Youtubers selling out and Bandwagons?) They comment on stuff in the media/news, give their opinions, have debates/arguments, and talk about politics/religion/other stuff. Never heard of PMRants or Nate so I can't say anything about them. BTW Onision sucks, I agree he is toxic.
Did I say they were dead? I said the community was. I listed the ranters that are still relevant[DOUBLEPOST=1447717083,1447716514][/DOUBLEPOST]
Uhh... AmazingAtheist, MrRepzion and Onision are still getting mad views per video on Youtube. I think TAA is nearing his gold play. That's far from dead.

Aren't beauty communities more about makeup tips and stuff? I'm not a big fan of that stuff, so I can't tell, but I know a lot of how-to make-up youtubers do pretty well, that's not really based on looks. People like seeing that stuff.

Reaction videos seem a lil wrenched with subbots tho. Weird. Doesn't youtube catch on to these fairly quickly tho?
I said the community was dead. I was just referencing some Ranting YouTubers still out there.[DOUBLEPOST=1447717409][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm sorry for the confusion at No. 1, When I was listing off people like TAA, Onision, PMRants and MrRepzion I forgot to say they were the very little of the popular ranters of YouTube.

How exactly is the community dead when the main channels of the community are still around and as big as they've ever been? What was the community before? Who exactly is it that died?

"Big as they've ever been" Dude, only Onision has more than 1 Million subs and I don't consider HIM in the community. Maybe "dead" isn't a way to describe it. Jeez. They're just not really relevant anymore.

Earlier you called them relevant AND popular, now they aren't? Earlier you listed Onision as part of the community, now he isn't? Make up your mind.
And yes, they are as big as they've ever been. Not having a million subs doesn't somehow nullify that. If Repzion and TAA used to have 2 mil and now they have under 1 mil with barely any views on new vids, then I'd see your point. But they've always had under a million subs and they still get the same amount of views that they got 2, 3, 4, 5 years ago. Their popularity hasn't changed much, so what are you talking about they're "not really relevant anymore"?

The "Pranking" community is pretty bad as well. There were Pranksters I used to watch until some of their pranks were revealed to have been fake. Jack Vale is the most prominent one to me, I loved some of his pranks. He did a prank video wherein he ended up being man-handled and arrested by a cop. However, this was staged. Jack hired someone to play the role of a cop who had his face blurred out. This video came out around the time the Ferguson stuff was at it's highest boiling point before the verdict for Michael Brown case was reached. Jack, capitalizing on the tensions, used the cop video to pull in more views. Of course Jack got the response he was looking for as people started to flood the Police Department where the "arrest" took place with outrage. The thing is that the Police Chief of that Department came out and said himself that they had no arrest record for what took place and said that the incident was staged. After this got out, Jack removed the video and people started to dig up the inaccuracies in that particular video.

SoFloAntonio is another one of those Prankster/Social Experimenter types. I've never watched his videos until I started to hear about them and what some people were telling me who were connected to him. His first big expose was on a money prank he did. He made people believe that he had his money stolen after getting socked in the face or in the stomach (I can't remember which). The guy who stole the money was another lesser known YouTuber and Antonio went on to say that he alerted the police and still hadn't got his money back.

BartBaker is another guy who got into staging pranks because it was getting a lot of traction on YouTube. One of the first fake prank videos he did was where he and his crew put a hidden camera in a bathroom to catch the reactions of men having pictures taken of their genitalia by Bart. Well this activity is Illegal even if it is just a prank. I'm not talking about taking pictures of someones genitalia, I am talking about setting up hidden cameras in bathrooms in California. It's illegal. The smoking gun was a link that was posted in the comment sections of Bart's videos which led to an ad by Maker Studios asking for male participants of a staged prank wherein they would react to having pictures of themselves taken in a bathroom at their studio. Bart tried to say that these men were summoned to the office by him when it was in fact Maker Studios who were also saying that the participants would need to sign a discretion form.

There was that one magician prank where a guy hired an actor to play a police officer and walked up to him with a bag of pot. Soon afterward he made the pot disappear and the cop manhandled him a bit. A couple weeks later, he came out and admitted it was a hoax. He then, and only then, posted the disclaimer in his description that the cop was an actor. For the first two weeks he let everyone think it was real.

Another one I don't believe is the guy whose mom was sleepwalking/talking. I'm sorry, but when something ridiculous happens to a prominent Youtuber it always makes me skeptical. They are successful for a reason, and that reason is because they have a knack of knowing what gets a good reaction from viewers.

When you see a guy like Bashurverse......

Wow, I see what you mean. I'd never heard of this guy (I'm not a gamer) - I've just checked out his story and wow, so much drama. It's hard to know what was true and what wasn't true in his "confessions" video and everything that's happened since then. Has he botted his subs at some stage in the past? He's losing them quickly now and I was wondering if that's YT clearing out all the botted ones or if it's actually people unsubbing. Either way, there's something not right about his stats. :unsure2:

I think he's a classic example of someone who should just stick to what he's good at - making videos and avoiding all the BS drama - Like I said, I'm not a gamer, but even I can see he makes decent gaming videos with a good voice and strong personality.

For the prank community, I refuse to watch any prank video now. It's simpler for them to use actors than to run around trying to get "victims" to sign release forms. They're just fictional short films with actors and once you realise that, there's very little reason to watch them IMHO.

If I'm going to watch short films, there are much better ones out there than prank vids.
