2015 CPM/post-holiday warning

I had a closer look and even though the monthly average looks much the same, I see it has dropped in the last few days.

Auction TrueView In-Stream CPM was up 33% comparing 10/01 with 12/17. By 12/29 it was 8% higher than 10/01, not as good as the week before but still up. I'm guessing it's still not at bottom until a week into January.

Based on last year, and some of my own unscientific projections, I'm anticipating about a 40% drop from my December highs in terms of earnings.

One encouraging sign is my subs have done very well in December, I'm guessing because we did a new video every day of December which meant more calls to action.

That's funny, I earned less money in December than I did in other months. It was even below my monthly average! Normally I get around 1 dollar a day, but now I had a lot of days that I had 0,20 dollars for example. Oh well, good thing I don't give anything about that money I get from YouTube, it's just a hobby!

Oof, my 12/31 earnings were 44% lower than my 12/23 earnings, despite views being 3% higher! Ouch.

We had a fantastic Nov and Dec, Nov was actually a tad better for some reason. But it's Jan 1 and we're more than half the $$ down. I don't know much about CPM nor do I look at it, I just notice RPM because that's what counts for me, how much are we making per thousand views when it's all said and done. But hey, now is the time to travel to Caribbean Islands! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1420182702,1420181684][/DOUBLEPOST]
We had the same result as you, but our CPM did go higher in the last part of December after we moved away from Fullscreen. I'm hoping January was like last year when we only had a 15% dropoff compared to December.

Hey Wreckless, so you guys left Fullscreen? That's curious that your CPM went higher after leaving because these MCNs are always bragging about higher CPMs. I could see your RPM maybe going up because they aren't taking the 'cut' anymore, but that's curious about your CPM actually going up too!

One of the reasons we left Fullscreen was a change in their direction-which meant less ads being sold for us on their part. We are with a different MCN where the largest channels have roughly the same target audience as we do, which has resulted in a slightly higher CPM and monetization rate.
