YouTube is Competitive - Step Up!

My two cents:

One of the biggest road blocks is audio and video equipment. I know a lot of students (and adults) don't have the money to invest in clear audio recorders or HD video equipment, but it's immediate quality that can differentiate a hobbyist to a professional.
If you want to appear like you are taking YouTube seriously, your video quality has to appear that way too. It sucks cuz not anyone can just upgrade equipment, but sometimes it's a huge roadblock for growth as audience on YouTube these days is getting more and more used to HD videos and cinematography.

I was gonna edit and add this but it was long enough haha. well said!! I was gonna add that if you can't afford a cam above 480 that's a shame but... well, competition etc :D

Great advice! I didn't even notice this sticky until now..reminds me of the "Be Honest" post, well that last bit did. It is harsh that not everyone is going to "make it big" I know a lot of the gaming channels aren't there's just TOO MANY. In fact I'm probably one of them, but I'm still going to be uploading videos and livestreaming to whatever audience I have :)

Good post. My tip for people if they aren't getting many views is to make tutorials. People are always looking up how to do things, but try and do tutorials for new things etc a new call of duty game.
