Three important keys to success on YouTube: Collaboration, community and consistency.

Collaboration:
It's not what you know. It's who you know. Go out, meet people, and do YouTube with those people.

Community:
Make friends offline that do videos. Join forums online, post, and get to know people on these forums. Don't just spam your videos. And BTW, comment on every single video you watch on YouTube especially the ones with no comments at all. The producers of those videos will thank you later and if they see your own content, you may earn a sub that way.

Consistency:
Keep posting on a routine basis (once a week at least and no more than three times) and keep working on improving your videos, commenting, and
