Just what they did to RWJ s proof #1 ...

If Maker was really that crappy, Warner wouldn't have invested $38 million in them-that came after the RWJ feud went public.

You really have nothing to worry about with them. You've only heard one side, and while I think both sides were very unprofessional in airing their dirty laundry out in public, it's just business. Asking RWJ to sign over half of his IP for his =3 show might seem a big agressive, but he was also getting stock options, so when you think about it, asking someone to sign over part of their IP to a studio that they will own a part of isn't really that bad-it's good business because it insures they will remain an owner for a very long time. Do I think Maker's CEO was an idiot for his response- absolutely.

I would advise you to choose the studio/contract that will best suit your needs. Every studio is different.

I can only tell you about my experience with both studios. I had the chance to visit/meet/tour both places before making a decision on which one to sign with. I actually preferred Maker. They have full production facilities (Fullscreen does not) that are available to use a very steep discount should you need them. They also brought in someone who poured over all the data from our channel and gave us a very in depth strategy session on things we could do to gain extra views-this was all done without any discussion of a contract or any pressure to sign. It was thrown in as a freebie just to show what they could do for us. The only issue for us was the added cost of the services they were willing to provide. I didn't feel that the extra percentage they wanted was worth what they were asking. So we went with Fullscreen. They aren't nearly as heavy on the strategy tweaking. We're left to figure that part out on our own with some basic assistance should we need it. Fullscreen has been really great to us so far (lots of perks for a channel of our size), but when we get our monthly views up to a level where we can a good deal with Maker, we will be talking to them again.

Hey, So I just wanted to ask which one is better ? PLEASE DON'T JUST PICK ONE, WRITE WHY YOU PICKED ONE OVER ANOTHER. OR VOTE AT THE TOP.
I know a couple of things about each of them:
1- CreatorX is a sub network , While SB is a Sub-subnetwork
2-SocialBlade has a clear policy about gamers, While CreatorX is a bit foggy on this issue
3-CreatorX takes a less cut because I's a Sub network while socialblade takes more because it's a sub sub
4-CreatorX is a sub network for fullscreen which is a great network itself ! while Sociablade is a sub sub network for Maker Studios which is just complete Sh**

I know I kinda Answered myself here :p please vote also at the top if you don't know why but you just favorite one at another, If you do know why tell me in the comments ! thanks

1) Creator X and RPM(socialblade) are both just sub-networks
2) RPM Networks doesn`t have all the licenses , people just assume they do because their related to TGS (who do have them), TGN don`t have many of them and their a gaming network so you should be fine!
3) read question 1) , Maker takes more because its hires over 200 staff and rents a 3 story building..
4) Maker seems to have run into a bit of trouble lately losing about 22% of its network views in 2 months and predicted to lose 7% in the next month but on other aspects they`re a good network. Fullscreen is certainly a network I would trust , they are really nice and caring about their channels and are even known to release channels before the end of a contract!

Overall though I would go with Creator X my opinion may be biased though as I`ve been with RPM with 2 of my channels before and I didn`t like the 60/40 net split, but if you`re fine with that there`s no real big problem with them.

I agree with this ^, except (not confirmed) but RPM and Paramaker are meant to be lowering to a 50/50 net split quite soon for all new contracts due to a loss in cash flow.

BTW Re: the RWJ feud , quite a few TGS partners are considering leaving atm as many got a 5% split decrease.

But : yea RPM are good for their forums and dashboard which in my opinion are better than Fullscreen`s , Although Fullscreen`s partner managers makes me think their support is better!!

If I were a bigger channel I'd go with Yeousch or IGN or something like that :p (I'm a gaming channel)
and thanks for the in-depth details ! it really helped !
btw what's IP ?

1) Ok got it :p I'll correct that :p
2) But socialblade said that they have them :p
3) Noted, Why 3 stories ? why not something less or more :p you know what, leave it that way, I like the #3 :p
4) They Lost them Mainly because Of RWJ i guess :p and that's why I want Fullscreen ! because You'll be like one big family in the network ^_^

well CreatorX doesn't have much difference, If I'm allowed to say I'll say it (Not allowed :p), And profit isn't my main concern, Developing my channel is :p

For #3 and 4, Maker does not have a 3 story building. They have 2 separate buildings. One is a single story building that houses the executives and the production facilities (sound stages, merchandising, makeup, set design/art, animation) while the other part of their office is on the second floor two buildings over. The support staff/ad sales/partner managers are housed in that section. It looks like they have a larger staff than 200 (some might be unpaid interns), but a lot of them aren't paid through the percentage they charge through contracts-they are there to provide services that you pay for outside your contract.

RWJ does not represent 22% of Maker's total monthly views. It's more like 2.5%. Plus his show is still under contract with Maker, so his views still count. Both sides actually came out ahead in their public feud. RWJ had a surge of new subscribers and Maker picked up a ton of new business (and got their huge cash investment from Warner). If I was with Maker, I would think that RWJ leaving would mean more premium ads would be available to everyone else in their lineup because normally RWJ would gobble up a decent portion of it.

3) ah , that must have been some other network :)
4) RWJ represented (RWJ,YFM and breakingnyc) was making up 26% of Maker`s monthly unique views...
