RPM's new partner requirements

I don't see why. Their standards may have dropped for new partners, but it doesn't mean they've become a scam operation. Your views or channel rep won't drop because of it. :)

I got to disagree with you on this, what else can happen? These people are going to be in the same money situation as awesomeness TV people. If you don't have many viewers and are only making a few dollars will you reach the payout threshold before your contract is up? The only guys that are going to be making money is the network guys. If not then to me it's going to turn scammy pretty quickly. I hope I'm wrong, Frankie.

I don't see why you're complaining.. you know what you signed in for and no matter what way they've turned and how many people they're taking on your contract will stay the same.. I mean if they made my 60/40 1 year contract change to the new 50/50 2 year contract I would be annoyed.. but they haven't so I'm fine..
You know what you signed for and they can't change it without asking you and you agreeing to it.
I managed to get in before they made the 50/50 contract. I don't regret joining them as a network, the tools I have gotten since joining have actually boosted my views because I have decent music and sound effects.

I regret the fact that now when people ask me who I'm partnered with, and I reply with RPM. That there not excited for me, and they feel sorry for me.

The thing is, even ATV are not a scam. What happens 99% of the time is little kids sign up thinking they're going to earn money because they do no research. ATV are not the parents of these kids, nor their accountants; it's up to the YouTuber to decide whether partnership is beneficial to them and to read any contracts before signing up properly. I'm not saying it's right, but nobody's getting robbed or scammed or anything.

I don't personally care that RPM are earning money; it's their job, it's the sole reason they exist. Trouble is RPM will now get a bad rep because people will act personally offended at this, even if it doesn't personally affect them. And that's just... a bit silly to me.

50/50 split with a network is just plain wrong. You do all the work, and they get half your money. Ummm no.

Personally, I am donating all my money to Cancer Research anyway. But, I still would of preferred getting a little more for my hard work, then losing 10% because they want to keep it.

I regret joining them now, I really do.
The thing is everyone can get partnership because there is always a network with low-requirements.

I don't care enough about money to be bothered about such things. I think that people should focus on getting a real job and IF they get lucky enough to be able to quit work and do YouTube, great. But it's a bit of a silly notion some of these people who apply for partnerships thinking that with 10 views a day they'll ever see anything and then getting offended that RPM take 50% of the piddly amount these kids will pick up. It'd take them about 3 decades to ever earn anything. But if they choose to apply it's their choice. All networks clearly state their threshold. If someone doesn't earn enough views to earn any money, that isn't the network's fault. :)

It's a scam to me because they are seriously preying on the weak. Young people who don't know any better. ATV and RPM or anyone else with businesses, lawyers, slick sales campaigns know what they're doing and they are professionals at it. However, what they are doing is legal. Legally scamming people. lol

I fully agree with you Frankie, I have plans for my future that involve a real job. In fact, I have dreams of starting my own Production Company. And yes, these kids with piddly view counts expecting to see hundreds of dollars are only bringing this on themselves, but I also believe networks should have the decency to refuse these kids such things.
