RPM

It all depends though, like a channel with good audience retention with 9)% of their viewers in English speaking countries in December, could easily get a 8-20$ CPM

My audience retention isn't that great but I still get quite a high CPM :p How does it effect it?

so for people going to socialblade and looking someone up to see what they're making how can they gauge that. Plus social blade has a very wide range from x-x a day or x-x a year. low end or high end.

I mean I'm making peanuts and I'm not looking at the money aspect of it just yet. I want to make higher quality videos and offer something to my viewers and then worry about the money after I've made a name for myself and it's start to really occupy my time.

The earnings thing on social blade just sums up that CPM's vary widely. If you want an average just work on the basis that 1000 views is prob around 2.5 ish $ but as I said it varies a lot from network to network & partner to partner.

Well, Socialblade is VERY bad to gauge your earnings with because it shows a 1-7$ cpm range on ALL views not monetizable, so don`t use socialblade at all to judge your earnings.

50-80% is probably good CPMs will start to nose-dive if it`s under 40%

Mine's under 40% but my CPM is still pretty good, You know a rough estimate of my CPM i told you yesterday and my audience retentions only like 25%

so for example if I'm avg 6000K a month. realistically what range should I be looking at. I know what I was seeing before I partnered and after so I guess I'm just a little disappointed as I was sold on the we place better ads on your videos to get you more money. Which may be true but after the cut what difference does it make?

I was just looking at the big time players to see what they were alleged to be making that's all. I think they make a heck of a lot more than what it shows.

Your CPM is still quite good due to a high percentage of English speaking viewers and a good network sales team aswell as about 20 other little factors.

I doubt they make more than it shows they would have to have a very high % of there views monetizable and have a very high percentage of the revenue split to beat 7.5$ per 1000 views

As my audience retention increases over time do you think my CPM will rise much?
