Thanks for this post Gaffer, this stuff is getting a bit out of hand. Not in my nature to join drama, but I could have easily done so a long while back as someone needed to say stop, as you have now. Hope people read this and take heed...
 
THE DRAMA. I haven't been keeping tabs on any of the 'thrilling' recent events but surely just ignoring "rival forums" is the best route? None of this seems important at all.

You're not a moderator nor were you personally attacked by what was happening. A couple of staff members were, as the people involved made it very personal. So I can respect that you think it's unimportant, but we were up to our eyeballs trying to stop people posting pictures of pornography and spamming us with abusive messages.
 
well, it seems I've missed quite a bit in my short absence. good to see it's done for now
