Do you think the fame and money can be bad for these people that just seems to be having one drama/disaster after another or are these YouTuber's just in it for the wrong reason's and that's why there such a mess?
It might have to do with them being jerks in general. No matter what manner of fame you might get in Youtube, or what character you create for your onscreen persona, if you're a jerk doing bad things, sooner or later it'll come out.
The more well known you are the more people will be paying attention to what you are doing. And if you do something that isn't the norm you will get called out on it. And sometimes that will end ones career or strengthen it. And that second reason is why lots of big YouTubers have drama. Because it is created so they are once again in the limelight, getting all those views and the revenue that goes with them.
true on the jerk angle as previously mentioned. sure fame and money may change people but I believe if you're a genuinely good person, you would use that fame and money to help others and use your power in a positive way not the opposite.
One reason is these big Youtubers who were once famous and use to having all the attention are now becoming irrelevant and they are doing anything to stay relevant. Also helps that you are caring for others and not just for yourself.
Like the others pointed out, a lot of the YouTube drama is fabricated in order for them to stay relevant and still getting views, especially when they pass their peak time. Drama is easy to generate (much harder is really good content) so it perpetuates all the time and people fall for it. Just like the yellow press generated perpetual drama out of nothing and gets attention from people who like cheap entertainment.
