How to Make Awesome Thumbnails

You could use photoshop or for exmaple picmonkey.com making thumnails isnt too hard if you where making a live stream of Bo3 you could have a picture of bo3 and some text saying stream just expreiment and play around with it most important is that you like it :) Make sure to have a nice font colours that stand out and you can use boxes or circles that attract people :)

Everything you said is correct :) At my tech videos, i use mainly a photo of review subject without many additional text, it think it looks cleanest and good :) But ofcourse, pictures are high quality.

Thumbnails are so underrated. People always ignore them because they are always included in every ones tips and tricks to get bigger on youtube. Thumbnails are one of the best ways to get views. Every time I personally scrolls through my recommended videos feed, I always click on the video with the best thumbnail. If the title says, "man punches kangaroo" I'd say wow that sounds cool, but if the thumbnail had a picture of the man punching it, I would click on the video before anyone could blink

100%

Nah, tits get more views

Just ask shane dawson.
Funny you say that. I have one thumbnail that was just a randomly created still shot from the video that looks very sexual but isn't (cell phone held up to an ear). I left it as the thumbnail instead of making my own with text. That video alone has Millions of views and the video itself is rather boring. So, you never know what's going to 'click' with your audience.
