I absolutely might try this to get a kickstart! first I'm about to make an introvideo I guess. I got only 10 subbies yet and really want to share my content with more than 10. people watch my videos but don't seem to subscribe!

Even with good content, lots of views won't necessarily yield subs. By doing this, you speed it up and don't have to deal with the frustration of getting 10-30 views per video

I know, even family and friends just don't seem to bother subscribing. that's the most frustrating thing! Makes me think, why should a stranger subscribe if my friends and family don't even bother

Maybe I am unique, but I think of it differently. I want my channel to be mostly about entertaining people I don't know. While friends and family may love you, they may not love YouTube, or the genre of content you are making.

I don't think you're unique about wanting to entertain mostly strangers, but I do think it is nicer and easier if you know your family and friends support you. I shall never force people to watch my videos but a little bit support is always welcome.

It has kind of become a running joke between some of my friends and family, because every time I would see them, I would say good bye by saying "remember to like, favorite, and subscribe!" That was when I was struggling to get 20 views, now they wont let me forget it lol

I have read about many people feeling embarrassed about their channel when in the context of in-real-life people. I think this is because even though we don't feel like we are fake on camera, we act different depending on who our audience is (you wouldnt talk the same at thanksgiving dinner as you would with friends at the bar for instance). Since the youtube video is meant for a different audience we tend to act a little differently, and having IRL friends see this can make us feel like we aren't genuine.
