How to Get Thousands of Views, Even as a Small Channel!

I would live to try this but alas I having a gaming channel and I have an upload speed of like 0.40 mbps hehe :)
That upload speed means no streaming. It may be a worthwhile investment to upgrade your internet. Usually $10 a month extra will get you enough. Not to mention it will save you lots of time when uploading, and improve other internet usage

Thats the problem though that is best we can get unless Telstra installs some ADSL ports onto our pair gain telephone line haha

This has me 100% intrigued! I'm going to watch your video tonight when I get home and investigate if this is a possibility! I do have livestreaming option unlocked on my homepage, but I am currently at 60 subs, so I have some time to plan. Thanks for all the work you've put into this my friend.

Absolutely, I'm a gaming channel and what little subscribers I have are pretty active on my channel, so hopefully I can do this at a time that everyone who enjoys my videos can watch. Either that, or when enough people are on to see me fail miserably. Lol. Thanks again!

So I wanted to update this thread with a recent experience. Last night I did it again. The video was "How to Join the Titanfall Beta"
  • I scheduled the stream 8 hours in advance, and on the same day the titanfall beta news released.
  • I made sure my tags were very specific and repeated somewhat.
    • (titanfall beta, titanfall, titanfall beta signups, how to play the titanfall beta, how to join the titanfall beta, how to get in the titanfall beta, how to play titanfall early, titanfall beta tutorial, how to play the titanfall beta, titanfall beta tutorial, titanfall beta news, titanfall news, titanfall announcement, titanfall beta xbox one, titanfall beta pc,titanfall beta xbox 360,ohaple,livestream,how to sign up for the titanfall beta, titanfall xbox one, titanfall pc,how to get titanfall early, how to post titanfall videos)
  • I made the description and title use the keywords and describe the video.
    • "How to Join the Titanfall BETA! Xbox One and PC Beta for Titanfall. Play Titanfall Early! By Ohaple " and "In this tutorial livestream we will start out the first 5-10 minutes by explaining how you can sign up for the Titanfall Beta. The Titanfall Beta should be a lot of fun, and it will be cool to play the game early. I hope this How-to on the Titanfall Beta signup helps you out so you can get in the game early on Xbox One and PC!
  • Then I sat around in the chat off and on through the day, and conversed with people. We ended up with nearly 400 comments before the stream went live.
  • 5 hours before showtime, my video was ranked youtube page 1 for "titanfall" and "titanfall beta"
  • As time went before the stream, we went from 10 to 30 to 60 to 90 to finally 110 viewers (before showtime).
  • I started the stream, gave the relevant tutorial and information, then switched to a COD livestream for a few hours, racking up more comments and watch time.
  • Now, about 12 hours later, the video has about 1000 views, and is ranked in the 6th slot on youtube for "Titanfall" only coming behind the developer's videos, machinima, and EA Games.
  • This topic is only relevant for this week, but I fully expect it to get 5-10k views.
  • Just an example of how you can use this technique over and over again.

I would like to do livestreams, but with my low upload speed(0,50). It's almost impossible. It's the best inernet speed I can get where I live!

What's your PC Specs? If you use the right settings you just might be able to Live Stream if you have a good PC. ^_^

To stream hd on youtube you will need around 2mbs minimum. I think youtube requires 1.5 as the lowest end bitrate for 720p. Then you need to save a little for playing the game online if its multiplayer, and some in case another person in your house hops online. At .5, honestly you would be better of just doing on demand videos, because you will have to make the livestream quality too low.
