Awesome tips, but the one I don't think is true is the one where it says you should upload at 1080p.

1/10 people watch in 1080p in my opinion. Most people lag like s**t when they watch in 1080p and even in 720p! Just upload in 720p and you should be just fine!

Totally disagree with you! If you upload you should always do it in the best possible quality currently on the market to future-proof your content. Don't think just what people use now, think of what people might use in 2-5 years down the line!

Some of my videos are 5 years or more and they still generate traffic and I wish I would have had 1080p at that time. In 5 years Internet speeds and TV screens or laptop screens will only show 1080p minimum of not already 2.7k or 4k like some cameras already are capable of recording now (2.7k = 2.7x 1080p).

I think promotion is the very next step of all...the best and cutest video can only have 5 views a day...so u need anything what gives u attention. I always recommend google adwords.
