Have you considered just using Adsense?

YouTube is in the United States and their servers are in the United States
Their laws apply!
How can you not know this?
I'm not even from America, i'm Canadian but i'm also a Youtuber therefor anything I upload is subject to their laws.
Obviously.

Enjoy my copyright strike? I have written permission for every upload I do and I provide this written permission to any other channel.

Here is an example:

We are the only channel that does this.
That's rights for MUSIC. Not the games. As for the laws, no it only applies if ALL parties are in the US.

No this is not true,
Read the YouTube terms of service.

You just claimed that United States Copyright Law does not apply to YouTubers not in the United States.
Are you trolling? Everyone knows this your statement is false.

You can't tell what network someone is with (or if they are in a network) when flagging videos, your point is obviously moot..
I have access to CVP, an semi-automated system for taking down videos via another very large channel I collaborate with.
I can fully confirm there is no way to see if someone is with a network with that system either!
Why are you putting words into my mouth? I never once said you can't tell if someone is with a network.

Sure you did, You said that if you're not with a network you'll get copyright infringement takedowns.
I'm telling you that you are spreading false information, as when a publisher takes down video's they have no way to tell if someone is with a network.

Hi there!

My name is Mitch! I'm currently partnered with Fullscreen on one channel, Maker Studios (RPM) on another, and I run adsense on a few smaller channels. Of course when I started my YouTube "career" my goal was to get in with a network. Maker Studios was the dream and I was thrilled beyond belief when I joined RPM!

Fast-forward a few months, I'm not saying I regret going into agreements with these companies but rather I wish I would have weighed my options.

PROS GOING WITH A REPUTABLE NETWORK:

- You can claim video's without proving you own them
* It's not hard to prove you own the copyright, it's also not hard to contact the artist for written permission if you use their music.

- You gain access to promotion/forums
* Promotion is never guaranteed and is very rarely effective with the non-exclusive gaming networks.
* Maker + Fullscreen forums are very inactive and serve very little real purpose if you're a member of YTTalk.

- You gain SEO advantage over non-partners!
* This is not fully true, if you monetize a video you have the same chance to get featured as any networked partner. If you do not monetize/claim your video you are not eligible for featuring as far as i'm aware.

- You gain access to "shows" and "live streaming" immediately!
* This is a huge perk and should be weighed in your decision if it applies.

- You are paid via PayPal monthly!
* This can be considered a perk, and again should be considered if it applies to you.

- You have an extra layer of support!
* I've learnt far more from these forums than I ever could have waiting 4-5 days for a response from support@xxxnetwork.com.

- You gain access to other sources of revenue!
* This is rarely true but I will make one exception for "Fullscreen" as their gorilla campaigns are brilliant and very lucrative for niche markets.

- You place ads at much higher fill rates!
* Most networks will show ads every single possible time they can (overlays every video, trueviews every 7 minutes) whereas Adsense places less (not a overly large difference) advertisements on average.

CONS OF GOING WITH A REPUTABLE NETWORK:

- You lose 40% - 5% of your income off the top.
* Most networks take a cut of 40-20% off your total earnings.

- You are locked in to a set contract.
* I cherish my freedom, even-more-so when it comes to business.

- You cannot see what you make directly from YouTube.
* Maker Studios does offer the ability to see estimated earnings

- You place ads at much higher fill rates!
* There is a "cost" associated with publishing advertising, you will lose (potential) views and subscribers every time an advertisement is played.

I'll add more in the future if people find this helpful,
Everyone (including myself) seemed to want to go with the "best network"
I suggest you at least considering running adsense!

Shoutout to Sparkyn321 who explained all this to me months ago, I wished I had listened to him!

EDIT: I highly recommend Fullscreen & Maker Studios if you so choose to join a network!
The hell I went through trying to get my songs monetized is the only reason I couldn't do that. Other than that I might consider just running adsense.

I see what you did there.

Excellent point, I never considered the view from the artist.. As proving you have rights to a song you've produced must be much harder than proving you have permission from a third party!

I'm not even sure how one could "prove" to google they produced the song, without having a live playthrough recorded or something of that nature..

Yes, I said if you are not with a network, you'll get a copyright infringement and possibly get your video taken down.
I never once said you can tell if someone is with a network or not.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Come on guys there's no need to accuse each other of trolling, I dont think any of you are trolling here, you're all free to post your differences etc but bickering over it isnt going to help :) You're all entitled to post what you think is correct and debate it without any of that.
