Common issues that keep you under 1,000 subscribers

Its different for other YouTubers though. You have a channel that makes videos that are guaranteed a few thousand views. Gaming channels don't make viral content. I have literally made a viral video just because I could. Its easy. If you ever remember the "Iggy Azalea Rapping Nonsense" Videos. I was one of the first to make one and it currently has 473,588 views. Another video was "How To Get 100 Subscribers on YouTube FAST 2014" Has 86,480 views. See Not hard when your content is MEANT to be shared. But with gaming channels, Beauty Channels, Vlogs, And Comedy. Its just not the same. Your tips help in general. But the content you are creating is vastly different from what the general YouTubers are doing. Gaming is Honestly one of the hardest to gain any traction, Because theres so many people doing it. My Gaming channel which I had for a year only got 2,500 subscribers. It just depends on what genre of YouTube videos you're making, But trust me friend you have it easy.
In comparison to other new YouTube Gamers and Let's Players, you should feel lucky to have 2.5k in just a year, I just got to 500+ in my first year, and there are still others I've chatted with and know who haven't gotten passed 100.

Trust me that wasn't luck. I worked so hard to get even 100 subscribers. Everyday I was on this site posting, commenting, and looking for fans. and I posted 1-2 fully edited montages/funny moments a week. Also instead of subs for sub which is stupid, I would Network with other YouTubers so that we would share our fan bases. Like I said Its easy when your making tips videos or YouTube How to's, But Being a YouTuber Personality is far from it and is the most difficult thing to do on YouTube.[DOUBLEPOST=1471269967,1471269580][/DOUBLEPOST]

Also my very first YouTube channel was the same as you mentioned. 100 subscribers in a year. I knew something was wrong so I started a new channel. This time I actually tried. I took a step back and looked at why my channel was doing poorly and improved upon that. I had a slogan and a strong brand with decent visuals and helped a lot of other YouTubers in the process. I had a shoutout series which not only helped me but helped tons of people, Same as my YouTube Tips videos. Those got 10s of thousands of views and helped A LOOOT of YouTubers create better channels. Just be a part of a community and if you cant find one. make your own. there are still plenty of people looking for the next big YouTuber. You just have to make them believe its you. ;)

If you were wondering. This is the channel I was talking about.

It's not like I'm slacking either lol I just joined this forum, but I also post on 4 or 5 other forums, and SEVERAL facebook gaming groups just to share my videos, and they're focused groups that are dedicated to specific games, the very ones I'm playing on my channel. I had to work with the lack of editing software so most of my videos are uncut. I've even resorted to replying to very specific comments on other videos that are related to the games I'm playing. I've only gotten a recent spike in activity on my channel thanks to that, but at the same time, for about 75% of the past year while I worked on my videos and channel, I was largely ignored. And it's not like I didn't follow any of those guidelines, either, I've worked a few other youtubers, I networked, I have a slogan, I have a branded logo of my own. It just seems like either most people don't seem like my style, the games I enjoy playing, or would rather watch people they already enjoy watching.

Hey man. I would say with your channel try to make shorter videos. unless your audience retention is like off the charts. see how long people are watching then just make every future video that long. that way YouTube will see that people are watching the entire video. I think your branding isnt verry strong either and could use a little work. Over all your channel isn't bad. but you gotta try and get more active subscribers watching per video. I'll be willing to help by remaking your banner and logo :D You have promise to make a great YouTuber so I want to help!

As much as it seems like it may be the answer, making shorter videos for the games that I play will only make it harder to even play them, let alone anyone to enjoy them lol I'd rather have my own style that I'm comfortable with that fans of the games I play can enjoy rather than be another cut-copy-paste of the same LPers playing the same games. And I appreciate the offer, but again, I'd rather keep what I have and work closer with my friends who made my banner art and helped make my avatar.

And btw, the link to your channel doesn't work here, I had to go to your Twitter to check out your channel.
