YouTube's New Boss

I kinda like that they're choosing someone who isn't all up Hollywood. On the other hand: A strong adsense/doubleclick competitor might have been a good thing. (IF that would have been something she would have done...)

Hopefully we get a good channel layout instead of one that looks like it is from windows 98[DOUBLEPOST=1391641203,1391641124][/DOUBLEPOST]
They're going to take another step towards Google+ in the next month. I can't say what it is because I'm under NDA, but something is going away and being replaced by Google+ integration.

Let me guess Youtubers will be replaced by Google plus. I don't see what else google can steal from Youtube at this point.

I dont see to much different happening. I would assume that things when "tighten up" somewhat in aspects to how much they pay out to creators, because lets me honest, bug companies love money and hate giving money to people.

In short, if ads are her specialty, then I'm glad that she's in charge because ads are the basis for the whole system now.[DOUBLEPOST=1391672442,1391658755][/DOUBLEPOST]Tech News Today made this their lead story today at the top of the show.
At 27:15, they also talk about the new YouTube view-count audits.
The lady at 29:20 says that we get paid when people LIKE our videos. D'oh!

I'm still too new to the game to understand but either way I'm worried. Changes lately have been pretty bad. Then when they made good changes they changed them to bad things lol Still waiting for them to utilise a lot of the wasted space on the channel home pages.

Let's give her a chance.
I don't think the new director will steer the "ship" in another direction at once so I'm not concerned for the short term.

I've said this before, but I am done with YouTube. I will let the host my videos until Amazon or some other venue with a better business model shows up.

Hopefully we can all respect that you are honoring your end of the NDA, but from what you know, do you think we should continue to grow our circles even more so than we already are now?

"Hopefully we can all respect that you are honoring your end of the NDA, but I'm not going to."
