Youtubers who say "Hey guys"

Best Disney movie is Mulan though, just saying. Mainly because I'm Asian, and gotta rep that Asian pride, y'know?

YES without a doubt Mulan takes the CAKE. I used to reenact scenes from Mulan with my bestie (when I was a child..) as opposed to like, playing "house". Mulan also has one of the BEST soundtracks from the "classic Disney" films. My opinion obv. Tarzan also had a great soundtrack. But "I'll Make a Man out of You", "Reflection", and "A Girl Worth Fighting For" will be my jams till the day I die :D Also can't deny the before-its-time feminism. Gotta love it <3

Hahaha, hey, it's okay if you still re-enact scenes from Mulan today, I won't judge ;) I'm 23 and I try to force my friends to whip out the Greased Lightning from Grease all the time (never works though). I've actually never seen Tarzan, but I do know that "You'll Be In My Heart" song from it by Phil Collins, and it's really good!

I say "what up my people" and end with "tit-tar" but tbh you got to greet your viewers some way to make it personal and Hey guys does the job. :) more personal you can make your videos the more your viewers commit to you

It depends on whether or not I'm trying to emulate a certain video type for the project. Sometimes I am very much so trying to make you think of the people you hate.

I suppose it's a bit unreasonable, but then again I suppose we can all have unreasonable peeves at things that people do that seem irrelevant. For example, I have the same kind of reaction when people say "these days" or "now-a-days" in general, not necessarily on YouTube so I suppose I can identify!

This might be an unreasonable gripe - but it strikes me that so many Youtubers say "Hey guys!" - before waffling off onto whatever topic they have. Either that or there's some other quirky and kind of branded greeting that they do every single time. "Hi Bros!" "Hey You" "Hi Internet!" - the most annoying one I've seen is "Hi guys how's it crackalacking?"

I don't know why I find it so irritating - but is anybody with me here? How do you greet your audience?

I say "Hey Guys". I should actually come up with something a little more catchy. I find that something like this is very beneficial because first of all, you should be greeting your viewers to make the initial connection with them. Secondly, if you have something catchy or different, think of it as part of your branding for your videos and your channel. They come to expect that and they feel like they are a part of the community.

One reason why I never say 'Hey Guys' is because I want to avoid gender stereotyping. While some may say it is a general statement, some ladies don't want to be addressed as a guy.
