Youtubers who say "Hey guys"

Recently I've stopped saying 'Hey Guys!' because I realized so many other people do it too. Now I tend to say 'Ello!' instead :D I know that sounds weird, but there is an explanation: Basically I used to say 'Hello!' really fast when I would spot my friends at school and start running up to them. Soon I began to say it so fast I just lost the 'H' altogether and started randomly saying 'Ello!' :D So now it's sort of a joke in our friend group and it's like our 'special greeting' if that makes any sense :D Anyway... Now I've started saying it in my videos too, because my subscribers are my friends too and I've gotten to know some of them quite well over the months just by reading their comments :D

But ya... long story short I always think it's great when a YouTuber finds a specific phrase or thing they change to make it their own instead of using the same boring phrase everyone else uses :)

I personally think a greeting like "hey guys" is much more personable then not greeting people who watch your videos. Its hard for me to really get into people who don't seem personable.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I say "hey guys" for a lot of my videos although my most recent saw me kick things off with "friends, foes, lovers and fighters, welcome!"... not sure what came over me :D

I don't know why I do it, it just comes out naturally, but I also like it when youtubers say it in the beginning because it feels like they are personally talking to me, but thats just my opinion on it :P

I'm also one of those youtubers that say "Hey Guys" haha. Maybe one day I'll figure out a new intro that feels naturally to me

I usually start out with 'Hi, I'm Mark Rodriguez and you're watching (insert name of show here).

Sadly, I'm guilty of the 'hey guys' any time I'm filming 'on location' so to speak, mostly at cons and stuff. I don't know why, I just do, but whenever I film outside I just randomly start with 'hey guys, I'm at....'. And I really try hard NOT to do it because at cons for example, the video is split into separate segments it means that when it's all edited together it will have me saying 'hey guys every 2-3 minutes. So yeah... gonna try real hard not to do this for this year's con videos.

I say "Hey everybody!". I mean it humanizes the audience. Gives you as a viewer an identity in the video and makes you more likely to come back.
"I'M A BRO!" Shouts a PewDiePie fan.
I mean, I guess the next thing you could do is just say "Hey you!" :D
