Youtubers who say "Hey guys"

I wouldn't say that it annoys me - if anything, the stuff that makes me facepalm is when people try to come up with a "nickname" for their subscribers. It works if you're a huge YouTuber like PewDiePie, but trying to come up with a fun petname otherwise seems forced and cringey.
I have been struggling with this recently. I usually say Hey Guys, Thank you so much for coming back to my channel. My daughter is convinced I should have a fanbase name. I like hater-tots for my haters, especially since I do tutorials on miniature food. She suggested Short Stacks (like pancakes) for the fan name, I also liked Sweet Tarts but I haven't given them a nick name, and think if I found the right names, I can use it in merchandising/ branding. I think an animated version of food related nicknames could be really cute, but I feel like my channel is way too small for that.

The key difference here though, is that you actually have a very reliable and larger viewer base that check your stuff out and comment regularly, so it's not as forced (hence why the likes of PewDiePie can do it). Touching upon what I said to ZombieBrain, I think that's what I meant to say originally - that it needs to sound natural. And I think it's hard for it not to sound forced if, say, you're calling your 5-10 viewers your "Bro Army!" or something. So I think you could definitely do it, Heather! Not that my opinion matters, but... :P

Hey g.... Bruuuh... I mean I don't know dude I speak in London street slang... And I find editing the word. 'Like' or the phrase 'ya get me' out of my vlogs annoying ... I don't really mind hey guys in YouTube videos... But now that u've mentioned it we'll have to see how long it is before I start having the same problem [emoji23] good luck!!!

Sometimes I just start with some random sketch at the beginning but most of the time I say "Hey everyone"
I don't know what else I should say lol

Thank you so much for responding. I didn't take offense at all when reading your comment. It has truly been something I have thought about for about 4 months ... lol..
Maybe I will ask my subscribers, and ask them to vote on it.

That's a great idea! Stir up that audience interaction and engagement. Smart, helpful for your channel, and it helps you come up with a fun name they like!

I usually say "hi everyone welcome to the pinproject" or something like that. I like to make my viewers feel as much as possible that i'm speaking with them

"Hey Guys", "What's Up Guys" are pretty generic intros
"It's your boy..." -- no you're not my boy. I don't even know you.
"It's awydufhtydh..." -- what? You said your channel name too fast I can't make it out.

On the contrary, all the different variations to "like" a video:
"hit that like button"
"smash that like button"
"punch", "kick", "destroy" ... that like button.
What happened to good ol clicking the like button?
