youtubers asking me out on dates HELP!

Well, since I'm married and 51 years of age, I'm outside the normal youtube dating demographic.

But, I did have somebody show up at my house yesterday. I'm going to have to install security cameras for my family's protection as well as my toy car collection.
Well that's disturbing. Any idea how they figured out where you are? That's why I'm very careful to not reveal too much about myself.

Well this thread is kinda disturbing.

The closest I've come to an E-date is like, one time someone sent me a message saying 'how goes?' and I was all like 'good.' and then that was it.

I would probably ignore anything to do with dates or meetups or whatever. It's kinda creepy. O_O

Luckily that hasn't happened and I hope it doesn't.

Nothing weirder than some randomer on the internet who saw a few of my videos and wants to date. I mean like wut 0_o s**t at least buy me a drink first dayum

Hahahahaha, I can't stop laughing!! :hilarious2:

One YouTube guy just showed up at my house once, even though I had never given him my address. He had figured out where I live by looking up my parents' names on Facebook, and matching up the view from my door with a clip I had in one of my videos (which I have since deleted). That was pretty creepy and really made me think twice about mentioning anything on my YouTube channel regarding the exact city I live in, where I work, etc.

On the other hand, I've agreed to meet up with a couple people from YouTube, but always in safe situations. Meet during the day, at a very public place, that sort of thing. Two guys came to see me in a play I was in, which was pretty cool because I got to talk with them after the show but in a crowd of other audience members and with cast members nearby. One of them brought me something and had left it in his van and they asked me to go with them to get it, I said I wasn't comfortable with that so I waited in the theater while they went and got it. One of these guys is one of my closest friends now so I know he wouldn't have hurt me or anything but it's always best to be safe.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that would of been creepy as!!! what happen to the stalker did you call the police?[DOUBLEPOST=1405936787,1405936695][/DOUBLEPOST]

I havent had that before thankfully, I think the problem in that situation is that you want to reply so you dont seem like youre ignoring them but at the same time you would have to let them down and you need to weigh up which is worse. Me personally I think getting a response is better than none at all. I would be polite and say that I am sorry but I am not looking to be hooking up with anyone via YouTube but thank you for the offer or something like that. If they continue to message you after that about hooking up thats when I think it would be best to ignore them.

For meeting you without the dating aspect I would just say you will be at XYZ meet up if you will be going to one of the paid events, if you arent then I would say youre not looking to be meeting anyone at this time but thank you.

You gave me the best advise!.

its using honesty!

Thank you i really appreciate that!

Should I be worried that Laina knows where I live and has sent me pictures of myself sleeping?

No but seriously though, I'm surprised girls ask you out. It's usually the pervtastic guys trying to ask out (or get laid with) Youtube girls.

My wife took over responding to comments a couple weeks ago so there went my chances of getting some fangirl play. :D

There are a few young boys smitten with my daughter Jillian. One is in the UK and has asked politely if he can marry her when they are older. Another boy in Georgia asked if she would be his girlfriend some day. Our response (after checking their channel to see they aren't some pedo/predator) has been something along the lines of "Jillian isn't allowed to date until she's 26".
